French Resistance Fighter Joins the Church in the Ukraine

As we know, the war of liberation in Novorossiya (southern and eastern Ukraine) from the American-imposed junta in Kiev has forced the junta to resort to the use of mercenaries, mainly from the US, UK and Poland. Paid for by Fascist oligarchs, the mercenaries have suffered huge casualties. What is less known is that the Ukrainian freedom fighters have also been aided not by mercenaries, but by volunteers, and not only from Russia. They have come from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Serbia, Germany and France, desiring to take part in a war between good and evil, between Holy Rus and the apostatic West.

A few days ago a young Catholic Frenchman from Paris was received by chrismation into the Church under the name of George. Since he had joined the resistance fighters in the eastern Ukraine, the priest told him: ‘Stand up for the truth until death, live in a holy way’. To which he answered: ‘Now we are brothers in faith and in spirit’. Later, George explained his motivation in coming to fight for Holy Rus and join the Church: ‘In France the news is completely censored. People have been left ignorant. People refuse to believe in the monstrous crimes of the Fascists…Democracy and freedom of speech are only words…Democracy merely means that you have the right to enjoy material goods…There is a moral crisis in the country, an extremely negative attitude towards religion is formed from childhood…Your services are like living water’.

‘In the churches in Paris you can have rock concerts, dog shows, even an exhibition of pornography. None of this has troubled anyone for a long time, and I won’t even mention Islamisation…When I saw the bestial acts of the Ukrainian Fascists here in Novorossiya, then something stirred in my soul – my place is here, with my brothers and their pain is my pain, so I came here. Here I met the ‘Russian’ God’. Archpriest Oleg Trofimov, a priest with a doctorate in theology who received George, recently received a family of seven Koreans into the Church. He added: ‘Our Mother-Russia has through the Providence of God become the Divine melting pot where the destinies of different peoples, cultures and religions meet. They all have the opportunity to come into contact with the Orthodox Faith…with Russian Orthodox civilisation’.

The Proposed Third World War and the Ukraine

Although it is only twenty-five years ago, 2014 still seems like a century away to those of the present generation. Incredible though it now appears, by 2014 extremist elements in the political and military-industrial complex in the US and the rest of the Anglosphere (UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand) and their puppets in the European Union were minded to start a Third World War and were even prepared to use nuclear arms. If these extremists could have had their way, this would have entailed all the inevitable human blood sacrifices of any War, which are so delightful to Satan. If moderates had been unable to control the aggression of those who wanted to start such a War, they would open it with an anti-Christian war, a new Teutonic Crusade, in the Ukraine, which the elite had already designated as a battleground between good and evil, Christendom and Satanism, Orthodoxy and the West. Why would this War be started precisely in the Ukraine, and not on alternative battlefields in the Middle East and China?

In order to understand this, we have to remember that a small part of eastern Poland (then called the western Ukraine) was Uniat and schismatic, that is, outside Holy Rus on account of its spiritual degeneration or nationalism. Therefore the rest of the then Ukraine had to be tested. Was it really Russian Orthodox, or was it merely like the Uniat and schismatic part, observing outward rituals disguising inward decay? In any case, from the Western viewpoint, the international Russian Orthodox Church had at all costs to be destroyed as a spiritual entity, divided into dissident sects and reduced to irrelevant folklore and nationalism, like the CIA-approved new calendarist Local Orthodox Churches and their old calendarist sects, or, even better, like the inherently culturally enslaved Protestant and Catholic churches. The Russian Church was the centre of resistance to Western exploitation of resources, the last barrier to global hegemony and the object of revenge for many, since her defeat of the earlier Western forerunners of Antichrist, Napoleon and Hitler.

Satanism and the Ukraine

Now Satanism is always accompanied by human sacrifice. This had already been seen in the bloodbaths of the First and Second World Wars in the first half of the last century and in the abortion holocaust which followed them. And the sure sign that Satanism was present in the Ukraine could be seen in the seizure and destruction of churches and human sacrifices and atrocities, including torture, mass murder and even crucifixion, organized by the Fascist regime in Kiev. Thus, already by the autumn of 2014 thousands of Ukrainians and an airliner full of Western civilians, had been sacrificed on the altar of Western secularism, not only in the eastern Ukraine, but also in the north and the south of the country, in Kharkov and Odessa. US tanks and troops were by then pouring into Poland, Romania and the Baltics.

The scene was being set by the hawks standing behind the US frontman Obama, the winner of the CIA-financed Nobel peace prize. By 2014 the Euroatlantic coalition, run by Washington ever since its occupation of Western Europe in 1944 and Eastern Europe after 1988, represented only a declining 10% of the world population and was facing bankruptcy. For the Euroatlantic elite a war, if possible a World War, seemed the obvious solution to its internal problems. By its actions in the Ukraine, the coalition, which pretentiously styled itself ‘the international community’, had isolated itself from the rest of the world. Thus, in the face of Western aggression, Russia had already turned east, tightening its bonds with China. With the whole of Eurasia set against Western aggression, the coalition therefore began provoking China.

Satanism and the USA

Satanism had been apparent in the very foundation of the USA at the hands of dissident republican and atheist Europeans. It could be seen in the slavery present there from the start and in the blood sacrifice of millions of its slaughtered native peoples, carried out at the hands of those ruled by masons. Immediately after the further ruinous bloodletting of the American Civil War and the North’s barbaric conquest of the South, there began the USA’s international campaign of imperialism. This entailed dividing other lands and peoples all over the world by destabilization, creating internal chaos in order then to rule over them through terroristic wars of intervention in the name of ‘freedom and democracy’ – as in Yugoslavia.

Whether through political cunning or huge bribes made in order to corrupt members of local political and media elites (English-speaking puppets), whether through massive artillery bombardments or carpet bombing, whether through co-ordinating revolutions (as the British government had done in Russia in 1917) or systematically organizing political chaos through social media (as the US had done in many Arab countries and then in the Ukraine in early 2014), whether through the use of atomic weapons or simply favouring, arming and training one faction in a country against another, the US elite’s obsession with control had by then become global. No power on earth could restrain it – unless it was the empire of the Spirit – Holy Rus.

Satanism and the EU

Now the Christian State has as its ideal the provision for the potential attainment of the Kingdom of Heaven. On the other hand, the Satanic State always has as its aim the provision for the potential attainment of hell through worldly comfort under illusory slogans such as ‘liberty, fraternity and equality’. Therefore, all who rejected the Satanic State’s aim, wherever they lived in the world, had to be tyrannized, their phones tapped and their electronic messages controlled. Those who tyrannized in this way believed like Lucifer that: ‘We shall be like God’. And such was the path to Antichrist adopted by the EU.

Therefore every country in Europe had to be subjugated to the EU, the structure for the new world order in Europe. The EU’s Satanic nature was revealed in its self-justifying demand not only that the sterile sin of Sodom be recognized as natural and sinless, but also in a whole series of anti-Christian laws, closing churches, encouraging massive Muslim immigration, banning the cross in public places and making human sacrifices through euthanasia and abortions, the sign of which was the Satanically-inspired smoke from aborted babies’ bodies, belching forth from hospital and clinic chimneys throughout the EU.

The Proposed Path to Antichrist

Those national elites who joined the EU at that time were undertaking to destroy the souls of their peoples, their national traditions, cultures, identities, morality and the family, every vestige and ideal of Christianity, so that all would be ready to accept Antichrist. If any countries resisted, they would be bombed into submission or, failing that, economic sanctions would be applied to them in order to annihilate them physically. Even countries that until recently, two generations before, had been nominally Christian, began foisting Satanism on the still relatively innocent peoples of Eastern Europe.

Those countries were attempting to corrupt Eastern Europe spiritually, morally and physically in the name of the future World Government. All of this was done under the disguise of consumer comfort and freedom. They said: ‘Renounce Christ and the commandments and then you will have the right to our bread and circuses’. Thus, the Western elites, elected by minorities through media manipulation and public relations, became the enemies of their nations’ traditions, the enemies of their own peoples. But by the time zombified populations realized this, it would be too late.

Contamination

By then the population, zombified by the State-controlled media, would also have been poisoned by genetically modified foods, which even insects refused to eat, by hormones and additives, by chemical and nuclear pollutants causing cancer, autism and debilitating allergies, by heavy metals, by foods ‘for the third world’, so that there would be nothing healthy to buy. This had already become visible in the USA, where 60% of the population had been poisoned by contaminated foods and genocide through obesity, cancer, heart attacks and diabetes was taking place.

Having plagued its peoples by sterility and the inability to conceive, creating the need to conceive in test tubes, through surrogates or else to adopt children from elsewhere in the world, the Western elite also removed children from their natural parents and created families of two fathers or two mothers, brainwashing the people through propaganda to think that this was normal. The elite thus ensured the ignorance of the people, making sure that their only beliefs were death and materialism, that it did not matter what one was, only what one had. Orthodox Christianity or the West, life or death, here was the choice.

How it All Turned Out

Such were the thoughts of the elite in October 2014; but the elite had forgotten the old saying: Man proposes, but God disposes. And so it was that…… (text interrupted at this point).

The Ukraine: Winter Approaches

US aggression in the Ukraine has achieved a catastrophe, whether through incompetence or, as the conspiracy theorists would have it, on purpose. The CIA-installed oligarch junta in Kiev, stubbornly insisting on keeping an old-fashioned, Communist, centralized State, has lost the war in the east, and the north like Kharkov and the south like Odessa are in revolt. Even Poroshenko, like the Nazis, has realized that he has slaughtered in vain; he cannot occupy the lands of the free, of those who reject his Fascism. The newly-discovered mass graves in the east have revealed bodies of civilians with certain organs removed by his ‘stormtroops’ who can only torture civilians. The 1500 US troops now invading Romania and the others entering Poland are not going to help.

Up to 10,000 of Poroshenko’s much-vaunted, US-directed, but in fact ragtag National Guard are dead. Over 550 of their bodies cannot even be identified, the others are coming back in coffins to the west of the country, where families are furious with the Kiev regime which has destroyed their country and their lives. In Poroshenko’s own words 65% of the Ukraine’s military equipment, deployed in the east, is destroyed and even US, UK and Polish mercenaries no longer want to fight against the Ukrainian Resistance volunteers – too many of them have died; this is not an easy fight for them as in Africa. Kiev has wasted 5 billion dollars murdering and bombarding its own people, discrediting itself for ever.

All over the Ukraine production has been slashed, the economy is in ruins. Everywhere there are rolling power cuts, for lack of coal and with winter not far away and gas bills unpaid, people in what was once the richest part of the Soviet Union fear the worst. Ukrainian companies have lost their greatest market, the Russian Federation, and none of the promised generous subsidies are coming from the West, instead just empty words, pats on the back and meaningless words. Disenchantment with the West is setting in – the Western elite really could not have done more to destroy its standing in the Ukraine.

In any case, the Western elite is now preoccupied with a war of its own crass making in Iraq and Syria, where it is now bombing the very fanatics whom a year ago it was training, arming and financing. (Again, the conspiracy theorists presume that the chaos is deliberate). The Western elite has no time for corrupt oligarchs on the Ukrainian periphery. Worse still, ill-thought out sanctions, bullied into place in its poodle EU by the US, threaten to push Western Europe into a new recession. As for Russia, it has turned to the east and a giant anti-Western coalition of Russia and China is now in preparation.

In the eastern Ukraine several churches have been destroyed, several priests murdered and in the west one or two churches invaded by Ukrainian nationalist fanatics, whose head, a married and defrocked ‘patriarch’, is a visitor to the State Department/Colonial Office in Washington. The US policy is to divide and rule the Church, just as was that of the Nazis when they occupied the Ukraine over 70 years before them. Thus, they hope to create a CIA-friendly Halfodox Church, one which is spiritually degutted, a Euro-Orthodoxy, an Orthodoxy lite, like that in US-run Constantinople or in CIA-subsidized old calendarist sects, and like that which the US/EU is desperately trying to produce in its newest colonies in Greece, Cyprus, Romania, and, if possible, with time, in Serbia, Montenegro and Georgia. However, we shall, as ever, resist to the last drop of blood and sweat.

A Ukrainian Orthodox Bishop Speaks Out against the Satanists: ‘If they do not stop, then God will stop them’.

As time progresses, even those on the fringes of the Orthodox Church are coming to realize that the genocidal, CIA-installed junta in Kiev is in its essence Satanic. Here are the words of one from the centre, the latest bishop to speak out:

The fearless Bishop Longin (Zhar) of the Metropolia of Chernovitsy in the current Ukraine (formerly North Bukovina and part of Romania) has spoken out in Romanian against the war being waged by the Kiev regime oligarch Poroshenko (Waltzman) against the Ukrainian people. Notably he has called the current Ukrainian leaders ‘cursed’ and ‘servants of Satan’. He has also called on all Ukrainian faithful not to let their sons go to their deaths because the present war is against the Orthodox Faith:

‘I call on you to be united and not to send your children to their deaths. Our Orthodox Faith does not allow us to kill each other. They want the deaths of our people, who live in peace with God, for the sake of their political interests, for the sake of those who defend their businesses and their leaders’ duties. My beloved, you are not allowed to shoot and kill. God gives life and He takes it away. The leaders of the Ukraine have declared that ‘the Orthodox Faith is Ukraine’s greatest enemy’. This is what the foreigners, for whom the truth is unbearable because they are blind, have dictated to them’, said the Bishop.

‘How can you take up arms and shoot at God’s creation? Like all of you, he too has a mother, a wife, a child. Why do they force you to kill? What is secret has been revealed: thousands and tens of thousands, which they say is hundreds, have been killed. I do not bless you to go to war. We call you to peace. Some ten thousand soldiers have been killed and even their mothers do not know that they are dead. I am not engaging in politics, but with pain say to you that this war is not against an enemy but is a war between us. When the cursed defend the USA, they want to see Orthodox killing one another and at the same time they eat, drink, make merry and rejoice that blood is being shed on this holy earth’.

‘They will pay in full for the blood that has stained their hands and their clothes. All of this is the work of cursed Europe, of which the Holy Fathers said: ‘Do not worship the beast’, and the Americans who everywhere, wherever they interfere, sow only enmity and shed blood. Now they have gone away and take pleasure that the blood of us Christians is being spilled. Brothers, we all feel as if we are on the threshold of a Third World War. This is why I have called on you: Repent! I thank all the villages of Bukovina, all those who live here, that you have risen up. This is what we are all called on to do: We will not give up our children to be killed’.

‘I will never commemorate at the Divine Liturgy the cursed leaders of our country, the unbelievers, those who have no fear of God, who sit in their armchairs and give out orders to kill. Only one prayer remains: O Lord, if Thou canst, enlighten them, for they have been enfolded by darkness and the underworld. They need nothing except bloodshed and in that they take their pleasure. Satanists! Servants of the evil one. If they do not stop, then God will stop them and then they will have great sorrow’.

St Andrew’s Work

Introduction

A spectre haunts Europe. It is the spectre of freedom. From north-west Europe to south-east Europe, professional politicians of the Establishment elites are quaking: they may lose their jobs and with them all their opportunistic careerism and self-seeking will have been for nothing.

Scotland

Perhaps on orders from a worried Washington, today three English public schoolboys (in fact one a Polish Jew who attended an elite State school, but his manner is still that of an English public schoolboy) have hurried to Scotland in panic. They fear freedom and the people who may vote for freedom. Washington is worried about a new country that, initially at least, will be free of both its political and economic arm, the EU, and of its military arm, NATO. No doubt the CIA, through its poodles in England, is listening in on nationalist conversations, in the hope that it can discredit Scottish leaders. Certainly, the sight of three English public schoolboys in Scotland will bring in a great many votes for the Scottish National cause.

Together with them, all European Establishments are worried. If Scotland does opt for freedom, Wales, Northern Ireland and then at last England will also free themselves, but France, Spain and Italy, at the very least, are also directly concerned, for they too have minorities, from Brittany to Catalonia, from Lombardy to Corsica. All artificial unions are doomed to collapse, whether the Soviet Union, the British Union (UK), the European Union or the American Union (USA). The implications of freedom for Scotland are enormous; little wonder that the Westminster Establishment has scurried to Scotland. However, the more intelligent among them must realize that, whether their last-minute delaying-tactic bribes work or not, Scotland’s departure from the Union imposed on it over 300 years ago is sooner or later inevitable. The game is up.

If a yes for freedom vote is recorded, the UK will no longer exist and the British flag will seem an anachronism. But if the UK no longer exists, then we shall all be free of the EU. The absurdly-named United Kingdom Independence Party, UKIP, will have to call itself what it is, the Independence Party. As for the three other political parties in England, they can then at last coalesce into one and rename themselves the single party for EU-appointed careerists and opportunists – which is what they have long been. As for a place on the UN Security Council, perhaps that absurdly biased organization can at last be restructured and places given to the countries that really matter and represent the real world: China, India, USA, Russia, Germany, Brazil and South Africa.

The Ukraine

Kiev’s rag bag ‘army’, composed for 50% of western Uniats and schismatics, and then of Nazis, criminals and US, UK and Polish mercenaries, supported by US and Mossad advisors and rockets, has failed to impose its tyranny on the eastern Ukraine. Having shot down a Boeing airliner, Kiev’s army and air force have been totally discredited. Over 3,000, mainly civilians, are dead, killed by the CIA puppet, the corrupt arms-dealing oligarch Poroshenko, now a war criminal. Even the cream of US PR men could not get him more than 25% of the vote, similar to that obtained by various other US puppets in Latin American banana republics and South Vietnam over the last 65 years. Even the EU, largely responsible for the original fiasco, is realizing that the Ukraine is just another artificial union, a conglomerate formed by the Russophobic Communist Party some 90 years ago, and now ardently defended by the West (which also founded Communism in Russia).

Novorossiya, New Russia, the southern and eastern half of the ‘Ukraine’ (in fact western Russia), the object of these terrifying Western-organized atrocities in 2014, is heading for freedom as part of the Russian Federation. So too are many in central and northern Malorossiya, though in Kiev neo-Nazi bands are still terrorizing the population who seek refuge in the Russian Federation. Carpatho-Russia, miscalled by Kiev ‘Zakarpat’e’, also wants freedom; if it does not join the Russian Federation, perhaps it will return to Slovakia or even Hungary, leaving Ukrainian persecution behind it. This leaves only Galicia, or eastern Poland, where all the troublemaking Uniats and schismatics are. It seems that President Putin would be happy for it to return to Poland, since most Galicians have nothing in common with Orthodox culture.

Moreover, Uniat persecution of the Church in the Ukraine has at last brought realism to the last few remaining ecumenist fantasists and naifs in Russia and also to those in Romania. In neighbouring Moldova the Church has taken a firm stand against the EU and its Satanism, despite the bribed pro-EU politicians there. What an example to Romania. And the EU is not having its way in Serbia and Montenegro either. Despite the presence of CIA-funded Protestant sects in the Ukraine, Moldova and Romania, the people have resisted. It may be that by the end of 2014, we shall see great political changes in Europe, both north-west and south-east.

Conclusion

Both Scotland and the Ukraine, not to mention Romania, are close to St Andrew. Let us pray to the first-called apostle that, come his feast in the secular month of December, we shall have good news in all the countries where he is venerated. Freedom is in the air and sooner or later we shall have it.

The Atheist World Takes Literal Aim at Holy Rus: Three Dead

With the war instigated by the CIA-installed regime in Kiev going badly, thousands of Ukrainian troops changing sides with their equipment rather than kill their own and thousands of other troops captured, as in yesterday’s victory parade over the Fascists in Donetsk, anti-Church atrocities continue, unreported by the two-faced Western media.

Thus, during Sunday’s service in Moscow His Holiness Patriarch Kyrill prayed for the repose of the victims of the shelling by the Fascist Uniat/schismatic junta of St John of Kronstadt church in Kirov in the Ukraine. He said that he could not believe that the demolition of the church through shelling could have been a coincidence and that a canonical Orthodox could have done such a thing.

Calling the event ‘a monstrous crime’, he noted that the church had been wholly destroyed, three faithful were dead and many others in hospital injured. He said that ‘an Orthodox belonging to our Church could not have done such a thing, but I know what evil those who do not belong to our Church breathe. I would not exclude the possibility that in taking aim at that church, they were aiming at all of us, at all Holy Rus, at all historic Rus, at which aim has been taken so many times in our history’.

Holy Rus or the Atheist West

There is no more hot water in working-class parts of Kiev. Pensions are half of what they once were and workers are being made redundant because of closing enterprises (most of the Ukrainian economy depended on the self-imposed loss of the Russian market). Adulterated bread is on sale in Kiev bakeries and many goods are no longer to be found in the shops at any price. Most men are avoiding the draft, no one wants to go killing their own people and die for the oligarch/Uniat junta. The natural gas supply is running out for the bankrupt regime and is due to be gone as the autumn and winter approach. The German Chancellor has just been in the Ukraine to warn the Ukrainians not to steal the Russian gas on which Germany depends for 50% of its energy supply. As for the Malaysian Airlines flight that the Ukrainian Air Force shot down, as was revealed by German sources, the events surrounding its downing by the junta have just been ‘classified’ by Western secret services, which supplied the logistics. The junta is in trouble, as are the Uniat and schismatic hierarchies which openly show their demented approval of it.

As in 1914, there is still a Holy Rus, even though the predatory West brought down the Imperial Christian government three years after 1917 and still, the BBC often at the forefront, vilely slanders the holy Tsar Martyr Nicholas, all his holy Family and all faithful Rus together with them. Holy Rus includes Russia, Belarus and the Ukraine, as well as many other areas of the world and living hearts and minds in 62 different countries, who resist spiritual death. Holy Rus wants to live in peace with all other peoples of good will. Of course, that means that Holy Rus, by definition, must come into conflict with the narrow-minded Western world, which preaches spiritual death and so does not live with good will towards others. The only things that it believes in are its right to totalitarian control of the rest of the world and its resources, that ‘might is right’ and that ‘money (and not Love) makes the world go round’. This is the New Dark Age, called the ‘New World Order’. Support Holy Rus and oppose the spiritual death of the atheist Western world – this is how we honour God and His Church.

Double Standards

The beheading of an American journalist by a British Muslim should surprise no-one. For over two years now hundreds of British Muslims, let alone French, Belgian, German and other European Muslims, have been slaughtering the innocent in the interventionist war in Syria, which has been encouraged by the Western Powers and their subservient media. That is not so much a civil war as a war between Syrians and hordes of foreign mercenaries paid for by Saudi and Qatari Sunnis and well supported by Western ‘Special Forces’ in training camps in the Jordan and Turkey.

Indeed, it is only a year since Western governments were prepared to bomb Syria back into the Stone Age over the poison gas / ’red line’ affair, thus probably bringing Muslim fanatics to power there and replacing the popular government. When it was discovered that the poison gas (invented and used by the West for the first time nearly 100 years ago) had been used by the terrorists and not by the government, the Western hypocrites fell silent.

Now that the terrorists are victorious in eastern Syria, they have tried to take over Iraq (which the West did bomb back into the Stone Age), the West is alarmed and is beginning to realize that it should have been supporting the Syrian government of President Assad all along and not trying to annihilate it, as they did to the governments in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya. The West was wrong all the way down the line. (It is almost as if after its fifty years of self-imposed cultural nihilism which began in the 1960s that the West wants to annihilate the cultures of all other countries).

Therefore, today the British government is worried that its self-created (by immigration) Muslim ghettoes have produced jihadists. However, the problem of the radicalization of young British Muslims has only two basic self-created two real causes. The first cause is the fact that British ‘governments’ (more correctly ‘regimes’), have, without popular consent, invaded, occupied and committed genocide in several Muslim countries, in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya. The second cause is that British regimes have consistently supported the genocide of native Palestinian Muslims by Zionist Israel, not least over the last month. The outrage of young British Muslims is actually understandable; their violence, however, is only to be condemned, as is the whole Muslim (and Zionist) anti-New Testament eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth ideology.

The hypocrisy of the British Establishment at the terrible beheading is also blatant. However barbaric it is, beheading is at least instant death. On the other hand, to be slowly slaughtered or grossly maimed by NATO uranium-tipped shells in Serbia or by NATO cluster bombs and shells in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya is, if anything, even more barbaric. And to be victims of the Atomic Bombs which the ‘high-minded’ West dropped on civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki is even more barbaric.

The hypocrisy is even worse, when one considers that at this very moment the Western world is supporting a civil war in Europe, unleashed by the Western-backed regime in Kiev, planned by the CIA and other US ‘military advisors’ and executed mainly by Western mercenaries. Well over a thousand have been slaughtered, often burned to death (as earlier in Odessa) in the Western-sponsored genocide against freedom-fighters and civilians in the Ukraine in the last two months, and refugees (no support from the New York-based UN here) number over 150,000. The fact, as we now know from German sources, that the Malaysian Airlines plane was brought down by the Western-backed Ukrainian junta is also irrelevant, conveniently buried with another invented ‘red line’. The Ukrainian train of death is to be forgotten.

Apparently, genocide in the Ukraine, as in Gaza, does not matter, because those who are committing the genocide are pro-Western and are equipped with Western bombs and bullets to do it. There is one standard for the vast majority not so barbaric Non-Western world and quite another for the minority barbaric Western world. How the Western world will deal with this genocide in the Ukraine when the Ukrainian junta goes bankrupt and the gas runs out in the approaching winter, we shall see.

A Letter from His Holiness Patriarch Kyrill to Patriarch Bartholomew on the Real Situation in the Ukraine

To write this letter to you brings me a deep sense of pain and extreme concern about the situation facing the flock of the Church in Novorossiya (the south and the east of the Ukraine), where a fratricidal civil war has been raging for the last few months. Last autumn, at the beginning of the current Ukrainian political crisis, members of the Greek Catholic (Uniat) church and schismatic ‘Orthodox’ openly preached hatred of the Orthodox Church on Maidan Square in Kiev; they urged the seizure of Orthodox shrines and called for the eradication of Orthodoxy from the Ukraine. Since the outbreak of hostilities, Uniats and schismatics have taken up arms under the guise of an ‘anti-terrorist operation’ and started direct aggression against the clergy of the canonical Church in the Ukraine. Nevertheless, the Church, unlike the Uniats and schismatics, remains alien to political bias. It continues to carry out pastoral care for its faithful, including those who find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict, trying to reconcile them, issuing constant calls for dialogue.

In recent weeks we have received reports from local bishops indicating abuse of canonical Orthodox clergy as they carry out their pastoral duties. Here are a few examples. On 17 July, during the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Resurrection in Slavyansk, a gang of armed men led by a Uniat military chaplain threatened the rector, Archpriest Vitaly Vesyol. The Uniat ‘priest’ stated that the Church does not belong in the Ukraine and lamented that the authorities would not let the Uniats steal the Monastery of the Kiev Caves. On 19 July junta ‘soldiers’ issued death threats to Archpriest Andrei Chicherinda, Dean of the Nikolaevsk District of the Dioceses of Gorlovka and Slavyansk and harassed and interrogated him, keeping him handcuffed. On 20 July, near Slavyansk, thugs armed with sub-machine guns made Archpriest Vadim Yablonovsky dig his own grave and on the same day they arrested Archpriest Viktor Stratovich, handcuffed him, and took him away with a bag over his head into the woods, where they forced him to grovel on his knees as they interrogated him.

On July 30 in Krasnoarmeiskoe a group of armed men illegally searched the home of Archpriest Igor Sergienko, rector of St Alexander Nevsky parish. They insulted Fr Igor, accusing him of taking part in clandestine organisations, threatened him with torture, demanded that he leave the Ukraine and that he hand over the deeds of the parish property. On the same day, in the Amvrosievska District, Ukrainian troops seized Archpriest Yevgeni Podgorny, showering him with abusive curses, bound him and threw him to the ground. They kicked him, hit him with a rifle butt and fired over his head, to force him to admit that he supported the Home Guard. They tried to force him to take off his priestly cross, but he refused, so they tore if off by force, put a bag over his head and threw him into a pit. Then they threatened to kill his son and robbed his house. Only his parishioners’ intervention saved Fr Igor.

We cannot ignore the fact that the conflict in the Ukraine has unambiguous religious overtones. The Uniats and schismatics are trying to overpower the canonical Orthodox Church, which continues to minister with patience and courage to its suffering faithful in a harsh environment. Priests are serving in places that have become battlegrounds; the majority remain with their flocks, sharing with them all the horrors of the civil war. Their families suffer from attacks, lack of water and food and shelling. On 31 July Archpriest Vladimir Kreslyansky died of his wounds after the shelling of civilian areas in Lugansk, leaving a wife and five children.

Novorossiya was a fruitful land inhabited by millions of hardworking Orthodox Christians… now, it is being burned down and destroyed. Bombing has destroyed the home of Metropolitan Hilarion (Shukalo) (he heads the Diocese of Donetsk and Mariupol). Artillery shelling damaged the Diocesan Administration building in Gorlovka. The Convent of the Iviron Icon in the Diocese of Donetsk lies in ruins, it was burned down during the fighting. However, the canonical Church is a Martyr Church; it remains with the believers in spite of these difficult conditions, it does everything possible to help people who are experiencing the worst times in modern Ukrainian history. The fire of civil conflict has caused hundreds of thousands to lose their homes and become refugees. Many of them try to escape the horrors of war by finding shelter in churches and monasteries, in particular, in the Monastery of the Dormition in Svyatogorsk, which is full of refugees. In Donetsk, Gorlovka, and Lugansk, civilians try to escape the bombardments by staying in the churches at night; once there, they get free food and shelter. All the canonical Orthodox monasteries, parishes, and dioceses provide all kinds of assistance to refugees and ordinary civilians.

Our Church as a whole is using every opportunity to provide humanitarian assistance to the civilian population in areas where fighting is taking place. Daily, all our churches offer up special prayers for peace and the end of internecine warfare in the Ukraine. The Church is taking care of many thousands of refugees from Novorossiya in camps and in specially prepared facilities located all over Russia. We are providing assistance to all without distinction as to nationality or religion. Amongst those who have sought refuge in Russia are many Ukrainian soldiers who did not want to shoot their own people.

These are perilous days for our Russian Orthodox Church, especially for the faithful in the Ukraine, I ask the prayers of Your Holiness, archpastors, pastors, monastics, and all the believers of the Holy Church of Constantinople for peace in the Ukrainian land, to stop the bloodshed and to end the suffering of our brethren in the Lord, especially of our archpastors and pastors, who in the most difficult conditions of civil strife continue to do their duty courageously, serve the Church and defend Holy Orthodoxy. I ask Your Holiness to use every opportunity to raise your voice to defend Orthodox Christians in Novorossiya, who live in daily fear due to the worsening violence by Greek Catholics and schismatics, who fear that if the persecutors take power they and their loved ones will face severe persecution if they do not renounce their faith.
