Foreword

Today’s Western world lives without Faith. Its last variant, Protestantism, was discredited for its spiritual emptiness and delusions. Devoid of spirituality, it was left only with sectarian moralism, which was focused on sexual puritanism, never getting to the source of sin, and making it rejected by hundreds of millions. As for Roman Catholicism, it survived longer, but has also been discredited by its State ideology, absurd dogma of Papal infallibility and pedophilia. Are any of its clergy normal? This leaves only the Orthodox Church. However, the devil is doing his best here to wreck our presence and mission by inspiring certain Orthodox clergy to behave like popes of Rome and certain others to behave like moralising Protestant sectarians, who have only hatred for real Orthodox.

Introduction: False Conversion

Protestants have been joining the Orthodox Church for well over sixty years, especially in the USA. The last thirty years have seen relatively large numbers, especially in the USA. And many of them have come from strict, ultra-conservative Evangelical backgrounds, especially in the USA. And quite a few of them have become members of the clergy, especially in the USA. Here they have been joining two small jurisdictions in particular: the small Antioch and ROCOR, which both desperately lack clergy. (Those from moderate backgrounds have joined the much bigger Greek Archdiocese, OCA and Serbs. They generally do become Orthodox). The problem here is that those from such ultra-conservative Lutheran/Calvinist backgrounds are tainted by them.

Such extreme Protestantism hardly exists in any Western country outside the USA. After all, the extremist Puritans emigrated to the USA precisely because of their intolerance of others and there they started witch-hunts. It is this intolerance which they also bring with them when they ‘join the Orthodox Church’ – notice we do not say that they ‘become Orthodox’ in their case. These are the individuals who believe that being as conservative and fundamentalist as possible is somehow Orthodox. So far are they from the truth, for they clearly have no idea whatever of the realities of the Orthodox Church and Faith. This trend had already become apparent among converts, especially in California, in the 1970s, in their ‘supercorrectness’.

However, today, in this rootless, internet age, this fake Orthodoxy has become a veritable epidemic. What are the symptoms of this sick pseudo-Orthodoxy, which began in the USA, especially among the oddballs of California, though it has affected a few others, especially from a Protestant background, especially in English-speaking countries? Such converts may enter the Orthodox Church sacramentally; but if left unhealed by obedience to Tradition and the mind of the Church, the Evangelical imagination simply reappears under icons, cassocks, mispronounced Russian or Greek titles, and misunderstood and distorted quotations of the canons, instead of from the Gospels. Below are twelve characteristics of these unconverted converts:

Twelve Characteristics

  1. These individuals have never lived for any time in any Orthodox country or spent years in an ‘ethnic’ Orthodox monastery or parish. Such they despise. This is why they do not speak or read any Orthodox language with any fluency and do not wish to. Indeed, they scorn Orthodox languages and immigrants. Everything must be in American, including in England!
  2. The life of ancient, suffering and often very poor peoples, who have preserved the faith through centuries of prayer, liturgy, exile and martyrdom and handed it down through the generations, remain foreign to them. Indeed, they despise and even hate them. They do not turn to the ancient, deeply rooted Orthodox countries. The historical ethnic Churches have preserved an unbroken heritage, born of centuries of profound sacrifice, exile, and martyrdom and have handed down the faith rooted in their ancestral soil of humility. But the unconverted converts want an abstract (the Protestant manner) Anglo-American product, stripped of memory, language and people, constructed as a Neo-Protestant revisionism. They want the Disney fake.
  3. They demand total loyalty and cult-like obedience in an ultra-rigid, high-demand environment. This is marked by intense expectations of personal compliance in a high-control system of psychological pressure and discipline. This is the suffocating pressure of guru-style control freakery and emphasis on purification (they are after all Puritans) in their tightly-governed religious ghetto.
  4. They speak with ‘authority’ and confidence about tradition, obedience, order, and duty. This message is especially used to manipulate and prey on insecure and lonely young men, who are disoriented and confused by the modern world. Such young men may never have had a father, may suffer from autism, may be awkward with girls, may be victims of the covid period and seek certainty of any sort.
  5. Imbued with Old Testament phariseeism, domination and conservatism (which is quite different from the living Tradition of the Holy Spirit), they know nothing of Orthodox spiritual fatherhood, self-sacrificial love, patience, gentleness and the bearing of shame for the sake of the sinner. In Orthodoxy, spiritual fathers are called to take up the Cross first, to protect and repent for others. They do not place the burden of shame on spiritual children. Orthodox spiritual fathers bear the burdens of their flock with tears, patience and unconditional love. Imported Protestant administrators impose only bullying and threats. Clinging to the works of the law divorced from mercy, they remain under the curse of the very law they mistake for righteousness, substituting self-sacrificial love with rigid, self-righteous pharisaic control. Intoxicated by self-righteousness, they never cease to fashion weapons out of holy things. The whole Church, Scripture and Tradition are cudgels for them. For the betrayal of Judas does not always come with a kiss. Sometimes it comes through ‘protocols’, calculation and signatures, and above all through intense jealousy of real Orthodox and through taking money and ‘subscriptions’ off the naïve and deluded.
  6. Ascetic life, fasting and abstention are viewed by them as parts of a punitive authoritarian regime of control freakery and abusive discipline, and not as the free offering of the heart to God for the acquisition of mercy.
  7. All who quickly see through their fakery and hypocrisy and whistle blow are put under intense pressure, fear of permanent exclusion and swift retaliation, as their ‘authority’ has been challenged by those who actually know the Tradition. All this comes from their harsh and punitive Lutheran/Calvinist mentality. Those who resist these bullies and do not give them obedience and personal loyalty (and their cash) will disappear as ‘non-people’ – they never existed.
  8. Any objection to their fake Orthodoxy is for them a source of hurt pride, wounded reputation, embarrassment, emotional distress (which causes them to turn to drink, among other things), business harm, loss of professional standing and of future economic advantage. They are money-obsessed narcissists.
  9. Such unconverted Protestants justify their pride by referring to the ‘Ancient Faith’, which is selectively borrowed and deployed to create an artificial authority, which is in fact only Neo-Evangelical fundamentalism, not the ascetic, eucharistic, conciliar Orthodox Faith. Orthodoxy for them is just an excuse for personal spiritual reinvention, renewed fakery and a very profitable personality cult. How they love raking in teh dollars, just like any Protestant tele-evangelist!
  10. Their theatricality does not stop with legalistic honorifics and borrowed academic or ecclesiastical titles. They teach themselves to speak with a foreign cadence, stylised, Old World delivery, ‘an Oxford accent’ (which is in fact nothing of the sort, but could sound like one in crazy California), or Eastern European vocal inflections. These are all simply part of their brand: an artificial pose intended to project frowning severity, antiquity and the pseudo-exotic spiritual authority of the guru. Their deliberate adoption of affected speech patterns and foreign cadences to command an audience is not the sound of Tradition, it is the fake theatrical vanity of the preening narcissist. When the theatre of their legalism replaces the Church, the letter is weaponised against the Spirit and a fake juridical process is mistaken for the life of the Church. This only works among naïve and uneducated American neophytes, who know no better. It does not export. We saw through him in five minutes, but then we have been around for a long time, since before any of them were born.
  11. Tradition and the canons are not respected with humility and prayer. They are selectively ‘harvested’, weaponised and then discarded. They are only observed when they appear to justify their crazy punishments. Orthodoxy is kept only to elevate personal status, command obedience and play at being Orthodox, in order to increase their beloved income, power and prestige. The Orthodox ethos, accountability before the Tradition, spiritual fatherhood, humility and compassionate love for the sinner are discarded. Orthodox symbols on the outside, Evangelical content on the inside. Patristic language on the surface, legalistic and bullying control beneath. Tradition for them is mere conservatism a la Trump, not the Holy Spirit and repentance. For them it is all just a clerical costume, an exotic credential, a borrowed title and weaponised obedience for income for their guru selves.
  12. These unconverted converts make of the Orthodox Church a platform for their own pseudo-charismatic self-construction. They build a personality cult, used as authority, it is the Evangelical will-to-rule in outward Orthodox forms, the Protestant fundamentalist world of misogynistic patriarchal authority (how they hate women!), puritanism and punitive control. Orthodoxy is merely symbolic, it is only there to provide them with self-justification for their proud egomania and narcissism, it is only the personality-driven religious performance of Evangelical show.

Conclusion: Bringing Spiritual Death

When the Protestant cultural framework is not healed and transfigured by repentance and the sacraments, it survives. Byzantine furniture is only added to their extremist Protestantism. Their literalism (The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life, 2 Corinthians 3, 6) and Puritanical instinct to ‘purify’ (‘drain the swamp’) and witch-hunt survives. Those of Protestant background can become Orthodox. However, the old Protestant mentality, severity, control and legalism to repress what they see as impurity by enforced discipline, loyalty and ‘spiritualised’ obedience to their personality cult may remain. If so, this means spiritual abuse, exclusion and erasure, demands for submission, rigidity and a carefully curated image of self-righteousness, which also fool uninformed American bishops in the USA.

Reception into Orthodoxy requires more than changing outward jurisdiction, vocabulary, ancestry and dress. It requires inward repentance, the death of the religious ego, humility and not pride. It requires obedience to the Catholicity of the Church, not the conquest of the Church by the inherited bad habits of domination and personal ambition a la tele-evangelist. Like all Protestants, these individuals are possessed by Judeo-Christianism, a term invented only a hundred years ago. It is not in the language of the liturgy, in the Philokalia, in the Fathers, saints and ascetics. It is only in the Old Testament political language of American conservatism and Protestant fundamentalism, part of the legalistic, punitive, authoritarian, Evangelical heresy of Christian Zionism.

This is why their missionary endeavours always fail. They understand nothing of the people they are trying to convert and have no compassion for them. They are spiritually suffocating, which is why they are sooner or later thrown off. Their emphasis is not on repentance, mercy, joy, healing, the gentle restoration of sinners, but on the arrogance of puritanical moralising and hate-filled condemnation. This is why so many such bullies end up in old calendarist sects a la Boston. Bostonitis does not need theology, it needs psychiatry, for it is a pathology. Their faces express disapproval, but that is all theatre. Subjugation to them is ‘spiritualised’. Resistance to their heresy is framed as ‘rebellion’. Disclosure is disloyalty and betrayal. They kill the Church. Their name is spiritual death.

The Zionist World Order and the Final Showdown

With the spread of US popular culture, especially through media, advertising, PR, films and music, and not only in Western Europe, in the 1960s and 1970s people began to speak of ‘Americanisation’. This word was later replaced and disguised by the words ‘Globalisation’ and ‘Globalism’. Now the undisguised truth is coming out. This attempt to control the whole world is neither of the above, it is in fact ‘Zionism’, the imposition of the Zionist World Order. This is the transnational ideology (not Jewish, most Zionists are not at all Jews and many Jews are anti-Zionist) that the whole world must be controlled and conquered by atheist supremacy over ‘The Rest’, summed up as ‘West is Best’.

Today, the ‘West is Best’ world and ideology are in turmoil. In the Western-created, armed, trained and financed contemporary Ukraine, Russia has defeated and humiliated Western Europe and demilitarised European NATO, though NATO’s delusional elite still refuses to admit it. And in the Gulf, Iran is finishing it all off, defeating and humiliating the already partially demilitarised USA, cutting off energy supplies to all US allies. Neither Russia, nor Iran wants a ceasefire which the USA is desperate for, after the unprovoked and disastrous Israeli-American attack on Iran. There are other parallels between the conflict in the Ukraine and that in West Asia, between Russia and Iran.

The End of Western Supremacy through the Ukraine and the Persian Gulf

Both Russia and Iran want not a ceasefire in their conflicts but a permanent peace, guaranteeing no more Western invasions and attacks, either directly or through proxies. Tired of repeated Western invasions over the generations, both want security for their region, with the removal of US and NATO bases in Europe and of US and Israeli bases in West Asia (just as China wants the removal of US bases in East Asia). Both wars in the Ukraine and Iran have been caused by the USA. Both Russia and Iran have nationalist-religious ideologies, one called the ‘Russian World’ and the other ‘Shia Islam’.  Both occupy a racial and civilisational space, promising heaven if you die in their name.

Thus, both desire a regional security architecture, one in Europe, the other in West Asia, since both Russia and Iran are tired of being continually attacked and invaded by the West. On the other hand, the once subservient, but now sulking and abandoned Western European vassals of the USA have turned down the ticket for the last voyage of the Titanic offered to them by Trump. They have refused to take part in the Israeli-US Zionist war against Iran, though they still want to destroy Russia. For this Trump has labelled them cowards, as he sees NATO as a worldwide offensive alliance. The Titanic fall of the USA, which we are witnessing today, comes a generation after the fall of the USSR.

The Soviet fall began in 1989 at the Berlin Wall and ended in 1991 with the dissolution of the USSR itself. The fall of the USA began exactly a generation after 1989, in 2014, when the USA violently usurped the democratic government of the Ukraine, and the succeeding Neo-Nazi regime has brought about today’s catastrophe there in 2026. We should see the falls of the USSR and the USA, of the red star and of the white star, as the beginning and the end of one long, single fall of two materialistic empires, which are based entirely on Zionist ideologies, those of Rothschild and of Trotsky. In other words, the fall of the USSR and of the USA are two halves of the same fall.

Today’s Epsteinian fall of the US Empire comes on the 250th anniversary of its foundation. In his study The Fate of Empires, the Middle East expert Sir John Glubb (+ 1986) (https://people.uncw.edu/kozloffm/glubb.pdf) describes how empires generally only survive about 250 years. Now this year, 2026, falls precisely on the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the USA. Coincidence? Perhaps. However, one of his unchallenged and significant conclusions is that all empires fall by overreach, by overextending themselves. This is just like the Roman Empire, which fell by overreach, stretching out to east, west, north and south, and had to be split into two and even four parts.

The Fall of Empires

Thus, the French Empire fell by overreach, bankrupting itself through fighting in Europe, ruinously financing the revolt of English colonists in North America, who were fighting against the German King who had been imposed in England by City of London oligarch-merchants, as he could be manipulated by them, and finally through the megalomaniac Napoleon. Similarly, having conquered Western Europe, the German (Nazi) Empire also fell by megalomaniac overreach, by invading Russia in 1941, instead of invading the oil-rich Middle East (and later repeated this error, its tanks burning on the steppes in 2023, just as its tanks burned almost in exactly the same place in Kursk in 1943).

The British Empire also fell by overreach, starting a war for no national defence reason against Germany in 1914 in Belgium, but out of the megalomaniac desire to control everything and everyone. Having learned nothing from its losses and bankruptcy after 1914 and its subjection to the USA, it deliberately started a second war against Germany in 1939 in Poland, again for no national defence reason, and soon another against Japan. The British Empire was duly humiliated twice, in its greatest military defeats in history, at Dunkirk and Singapore. Later, the Soviet Empire also fell by overreach, occupying Eastern Europe and then Afghanistan, so bankrupting and discrediting itself.

The Western European Union ‘Fourth Reich’ Empire is now also falling by overreach, centralising power and extending into the Ukraine. Thus, it militarised itself to attack Russia, just like the Third Reich, which also was not content with conquering Western Europe. In this way the Brussels-directed EU became just an arm of the Brussels-directed NATO. And today the founder of the EU, the American Empire has fallen by overreach and bankruptcy in distant Ukraine and in Iran, having learned nothing from its routs in Vietnam and Afghanistan about keeping itself to itself and not meddling in the affairs of others. As the deluded there say: ‘We are America, we can do anything’.

In all cases, we see how empires fall through the pride of the hubris of ‘we can do anything’, which is what causes overreach. Their falls are caused by megalomanic and paranoid attempts to control everything everywhere. In all cases we see how empires meet their inevitable destiny of falling, precisely on the path they took in order to avoid that destiny of falling. Like a schoolboy bully, Trump asks others if they want to help him bully others. When they refuse, he tells them in a tantrum that they are cowards and that in fact he does not need their help anyway, but that he will take Greenland just to punish them. And that will be the last nail in the nail-covered NATO coffin.

Secular and Religious Hubris

In our experience such narcissists as President Trump, who lie unconsciously, as they breathe, are full of negativity, nobody can be equal to them, others are always to blame for everything. Trump is a jealous, narcissistic psychopath. That is why he can never admit defeat, even as it stares him in the face and everyone else sees it. Similarly, there are bishops who are narcissistic psychopaths, self-preoccupied bachelor ‘monks’, but not pastors. In other words, they do not love the people, they love only themselves. And there are just such ‘Orthodox’ in the USA, who worship Trump. He is their infallible Pope. He is just like an Orthodox bishop we met, a mini-Trump and fake professor.

The latter surrounded himself with fantasist egomaniacs. He would not attract our priests, who are missionary lorry-drivers, builders and teachers, like the Apostle Paul. Practical priests, we appreciate those who buy buildings and make of them churches for the people as real fathers, and not tyrants and bullies. In that Protestantised ‘Orthodox’ group in America, hubris leads to ‘OneTrueChurchist’ sectarianism, exclusivity, the ‘only we will be saved’ ideology of the pharisees. Outside that group in America, it leads to the Zionism of the Evangelicals, the ‘only we will be saved’ ‘rapture’ ideology of the pharisees. The Latest ROCOR Scandal – This Time in Australia

It is with great sadness that we have heard from multiple sources (a google search confirms all) of the latest Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR) scandal, this time in Australia. There it has made all the main newspapers and media, though of course it will probably not make the largely ROCOR-run, anti-Greek, and heavily censored ‘orthochristian’ website.

Indeed, the Australian story has done nothing for the American Synod (ROCOR), which had already been publicly shamed in a court case for its blatant lies about Fr Alexander Belya and his Vicariate, as shown by the very expensive court case which it lost, and also for its blatant lies about the ‘Colchester Diocese’ in England. Here ROCOR lost half its Western European diocese through its anti-canonical, anti-Moscow schism, racist and sectarian persecution, slander and greed.

As a result, in all the nineteen churches combined of its so-called ‘Western European Diocese’, it is doubtful if on an average Sunday there are even 1,500 people inside them, many of which it does not even own. The ROCOR scandal in Geneva, with the vicious persecution and expulsion of the most faithful of the old ROCOR, all disciples of the ever-memorable Archbishop Antony of Geneva, also remains unresolved. The Old Pre-Revolutionary Tradition ROCOR has been killed off by the New Convert ROCOR. St John of Shanghai has ben put on trial and suspended by the American Synod for a second time.

Now in Australia, after the sentencing of the ROCOR pedophile priest from Bombala, publicly known about for over seven years, though in the 1990s they had wanted to make him a bishop (!), another cleric, Fr Boris Ignatievsky, has made a shocking statement typical of ROCOR clericalism: ‘The sheep must not judge the shepherds’. Several of the Russian ‘gyprocker’ clergy in Australia, have already been responsible for scandals, including alcoholism, infidelity and wife-beating. Little wonder that our dear friend in Australia, a priest of integrity, Abbot Sergei Shatrov, left monasticism and the priesthood and became a taxi-driver. (Fr Michael Boyko, another Jordanville graduate, also left the priesthood and became a miner).

It all comes after the arrest and court case involving the notorious Fr Seraphim (Scuratov) in England back in the 1980s (the one whom they also wanted to make a bishop!), and the equally disgusting sexual scandals in the USA, in Boston, Blanco, Jordanville, Platina and Virginia. In the latter case a ROCOR monk left after being approached by a pervert-monk, went to his ROCOR bishop to talk of his trouble and then got touched up by the no less pervert-bishop, who claims to be ‘canonical’. (The monk threw off his monastic garb and walked away in disgust). Is all their monasticism composed of pedophiles? The half a dozen still active bishops of ROCOR (a generation ago, there were twenty – there are several who have ‘retired’ with disgust at the manner in which the new American Synod operates) do not know what to do.

The American ROCOR Archbishop for Australia, a former traditionalist Roman Catholic, rebaptised into ROCOR, is now spreading traditionalist Roman Catholic-style anti-birth control booklets, also to the scandal of the faithful. Russians have no truck with this. The pastoral crisis is in full swing here too. The ROCOR policy of sending out convert American bishops, who have no idea of the Russian Orthodox pastoral and cultural realities outside US convert ghettos, to the ROCOR colonies overseas, has been shown to be a catastrophic mistake.

Meanwhile, at their headquarters in Moscow, certain senior metropolitans of the Russian Orthodox Church (I know two of them, who informed me so) are thinking of replacing the ROCOR bishops with their own. They wanted ROCOR to be an embassy Church for them to improve their image abroad. In reality, ROCOR has made their image worse. Moscow is just waiting for the key old one to die, for he ‘zasidelsja’, has stayed on for too long. Most of the increasingly small numbers of ROCOR laypeople who are left would follow Moscow bishops. As for many former ROCOR clergy and faithful, they are now scattered as refugees from gross injustice, in the Patriarchates of Constantinople or Romania.

Moreover, both Patriarchates are keen to take even more of those fleeing the anti-canonical and schismatic actions of the rebaptising and anti-family ROCOR Synod. Therefore, they will take them all without letters of leave, which have no value or importance, as the new ROCOR is a schismatic group, which continues to persecute, in the harshest of ways, faithful clergy and people.

Scandals always accompany the decadence that comes before the end. It is just another nail in the coffin of the corpse of what was even twenty years ago a Russian Emigration Church with a largely respected and even glorious history. Sadly, a Persecuted Church has over the last generation become a Persecuting Church. All we can say to all is: Keep well away from ROCOR, approach it at your peril, for the old ROCOR is dead, killed by crazy converts, with their sexual and financial scandals.

To repeat the words of Fr Boris Ignatievsky: ‘Condemnation is a form of pride’. But the American Synod has been condemning the good and faithful for decades. Now it condemns the parents of outraged sons, who denounce pedophile clergy. Presumably then, in their view, pedophilia is a form of humility?

One commentator has asked: How did the Bombala pedophile get away with it for so long? All I know is that he had a terrible reputation when he was in Jerusalem in the 1980s. And all I can say is that either the bishops concerned are stupid, poor judges of character, or else, less charitably, they operate just like the Roman Catholics, as a gay mafia, protecting their own. One or the other. Sad, but true. The need for an Inter-Orthodox Council becomes ever more obvious to us, though apparently not to the majority of the bishops.
