Three World Wars For Nothing?

Introduction: Lives Destroyed By Futile Wars

I was brought up in a world shaped by the results of two World Wars. The lives of my parents, uncles and aunts (the men fought, several of the women, one was a victim of the London Blitz, were spinsters – there were too few men left to marry) had all been deeply affected by the Second World War, those of my grandparents, great-uncles and great-aunts (soldiers and spinsters) deeply affected by the First World War. They talked of little else, as their once peaceful and settled lives had been disfigured by the Wars. As for me I was born in the year of the Anglo-French invasion of Egypt, when the USA planted the last nail into the coffin of the British Empire, and Soviet tanks entered oppressed Budapest. Looking back today, as once more the Western world is at war against Russia, I cannot help seeing the continuity of these wars. However, I also see their futility, as they merely put off the inevitable rise of Russia, even though it repeatedly attempted suicide in its history in movements of spiritual apostasy.

Three ‘World’ Wars To Destroy Russia

We use the term ‘World Wars’ to describe the global disasters that were in fact European Wars, or more precisely Wars for the control of Russia. Thus, the First World War (1914-18) began after the Austrian annexation of Bosnia, the Second World War (1939-1945) began after the German annexation of Poland, and what I here call the Third World War (2022-2025?) began after the Western annexation of the Soviet Ukraine. All these wars were in reality the attempts by the ruling classes of Austro-Hungary and its allies, Germany and its allies, and the USA and its European vassals, respectively, to gain control of the territory (‘Lebensraum’) and natural resources of the Eastern half of Europe (from the Soviet-fixed borders of the Ukraine to the Volga, Stalingrad and Astrakhan). All have essentially been wars directed against the three different Russias, Imperial Russia, the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation, caused by the desire of the Western world to exploit and plunder its wealthy neighbour, which occupies the Eastern half of Geographical Europe and all Siberia as far as the Pacific.

Moreover, all these wars were underpinned and propagandised by a racist ideology which believes that Western Europeans, the Germanic and Latin, so-called ‘Aryan’, peoples, are racially superior to all others. This infers the racial inferiority of Slavs (Serbs/Poles/Russians etc), Jews, Gypsies etc to Western Europeans and their white descendants in the USA, Australia, Canada and elsewhere. In the Second World War this ideology came to be called ‘Nazism’, though its racist nature was already apparent in the First World War, but not by that name. Nazism conquered or subdued all of Western Europe in the Second War. In the Third World War all the Western countries, once more deployed against Russia, sometimes openly share this same ideology. It is most obvious with the SS-inspired armed forces in what is the Soviet Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, but also in the EU, where many of the main unelected Eurocrats and representatives like von der Leyen, Kallas, Baerbock or Metreweli, the head of the foreign spy service of the UK, are the grandchildren of Nazis.

This myth of racial superiority has been a constant throughout the last millennium of Western European history. The Russians first experienced it in a letter from Pope Hildebrand (Gregory VII) sent to Yaroslav of Russia in 1075, demanding submission. Next came the Russian defeat of the invading Teutonic Knights in 1242. It is precisely this hubristic conviction of superiority which lies behind the continual defeats of the West. These defeats, Napoleon’s, Hitler’s and Trump’s, all come from underestimating Russian realities. Thus, Russia is ‘only a regional power showing weakness’ (Obama, 2014) or ‘a gas station masquerading as a country’ (McCain, 2015). Its losses, according to Western propagandists, are ten times its real losses and ‘it has no more missiles, tanks, bombs, shells or troops’, who are being sent to Ukrainian lines ‘to die in human waves’. These people live in Hollywood and have grown accustomed to believing their own lies. The lies are written by Western PR scriptwriters, exaggerated by the Kiev Ministry of Propaganda, and then believed by stupid politicians.

The First War is called a World War only because it involved British colonial troops mainly from the Indian subcontinent and the Caribbean, as well as Australians, New Zealanders, Canadians and then Americans, and French colonial troops mainly from Africa, and also involved skirmishes with German colonial troops in Africa. The Second War is called a World War only because it also involved the same colonial troops as well as American troops and took place in the Anglo-German battle for the control of oil in the Middle East and the war of the USA and the UK against Japan for control of the Pacific. And the Third War can be called a World War only because it indirectly involves BRICS, notably China, India, Iran and North Korea, and its other supporters in ‘the Global South’ of Africa, Asia and Latin America. This is the first War in which the West is isolated and in a tiny and technologically weaker minority, it is the 10% against the 90%. Therefore, it has always been clear who will eventually win and clear that the West was made foolish by hubris to fantasise that it could win.

In other words, all these Wars began in Eastern Europe and involved failed invasions of Russia, which Western Europe wanted to take over and exploit. This had already been rehearsed before them in 1812 under Napoleon with his collective, multinational invasion of Russia by ‘the French and the twelve tribes’. (However, others like the Poles and the Swedes had tried and failed even before him and the Anglo-French had tried again in 1853-56). Thus, it can be said that all three World Wars were ‘Napoleonic’, that is, failed Pan-Western attempts to destroy Russia. Napoleon, Nazi and NATO – those three even begin with the same two letters. All of them had been prepared, for tensions between the European Powers had been brewing for years, especially in the Far East (1904-05) and the Balkans from 1908 on. And Germany had been preparing for war under Hitler since 1933. As regards today’s war, it began with the overthrow in Kiev in 2014, followed by covid (a US bio-war virus, backfired on it and its allies) and the threatened genocide by the Kiev puppet regime of Eastern Ukraine.

This full-scale physical and cultural genocide of Eastern Ukrainians, already prepared on a low level (nearly 15,000 men, women and children murdered in the Donbass, as well as in Kiev and Odessa) between 2014 and early 2022, had been programmed by NATO, of which the separatist Kiev regime was already a de facto member, for March 2022. This threat provoked the initially small-scale Russian intervention in February 2022 there, in what until 1922, exactly a century before, had been part of Russia. Once the Western Powers forbade their puppet-regime in Kiev to sue for peace with Russia in March-April 2022 under its envoy Johnson, this developed into a full-scale war against Russia by the Kiev regime proxies, Western-trained, Western-supplied, Western-informed, Western-armed, Western-biolabbed, and Western-financed. It is this Russian war to deSovietise the Soviet-established Ukraine which continues today, three and a half years later, with Russia and the BRICS world victorious. Western leaders officially deny it because on admission they would have to resign.

After The Three World Wars

Our question is what would have happened if the three interdependent World Wars, in fact Anti-Russian Wars I, II and III (like the preparatory Anglo-American-financed anti-Russian War, launched by their Japanese proxy in 1904) had not taken place. Would the situation of the world be any different today from it would have been without those Wars? Of course, no definitive answer can be given to this question – we shall never know, because the three World Wars did take place, with their fifty million and more dead in Europe alone. However, we can make some striking observations.

Inside Europe, in 1914 Germany dominated Western Europe economically, technologically and militarily, not only because of its heavy industry with iron and steel, but also through its advanced engineering, chemical, electrical and automotive industries. But this was exactly the situation at least until 2022. Then began the deindustrialisation of Germany, enforced by the US cutting off its energy supplies from Russia, and the end of a Germany which had been the engine of the EU, the heart of the EU economy.

In 1914 France played a secondary role in Western Europe, albeit a jealous, petulant and resentful role, as a result of its defeat at German hands in the Franco-Prussian War in 1870. This is the role it still plays in Western Europe today. In 1914 the Imperialist British ruling class looked to its role overseas, outside Europe, especially to the USA and India. This is the role it still plays today, though today the roles have been reversed. The UK, its snobbish and arrogant, fantasy-driven ruling class, stuck in the past, paradoxically still not de-Imperialised, is in fact dependent on its former colonies, rather than they being dependent on the UK.

In 1914 Russia dominated Eurasia (Northern Asia, the vast area from Eastern Europe to China), as Tsar Nicholas had opened the Russian ‘Window on Asia’ by insisting on the completion of and inaugurating the Trans-Siberian railway. He considered that Siberia would be to European Russia what North America had been to Western Europe. In 1913 it was estimated by Edmond Thery, the French economist, that by 1950 Russia would ‘dominate Europe politically, economically and financially’. However, in 1914 there was the German-led War against the Russian Empire, a British-orchestrated Revolution through Russian traitors, Western invasions after 1917, a German-led invasion in 1941, murdering 27 million, and for several years after 1991 the plunder of the Russian Federation by the Western world, as a result of which millions died prematurely in mafia crime, starvation, suicide and alcoholism borne of despair.

Despite the present tragic, post-Soviet conflict, one of whose aims is to deSovietise the Soviet Ukraine and restore the real, historic Ukraine (Malorossija), the three generations wasted by Marxism meant that the Russian economy became the largest in Europe only in 2024, 74 years after the predicted 1950. And 74 years was exactly the period during which Russia was taken over by the idiotic Western ideology of Marxism (1917-1991), sent by Germany in the form of Lenin to contaminate the Russian Western-educated class, who also designed the absurd borders of the Soviet Ukraine. Nevertheless, by 2024 the Russian economy had at last become the largest economy in Europe, indeed the fourth largest in the world, just as it had already been in pre-Soviet, Imperial 1914. Thus, the Three World Wars had only delayed the inevitable and the development of the future deWesternised, but once more Imperial (but not Imperialist, as it is deWesternised) Russia.

Outside Europe, in 1914 the USA was trying to dominate Latin America (starting with its land-grab from Mexico in 1846), Hawaii (1893), the Caribbean (Cuba (1898)), the Philippines (1902), and the Pacific in general, in rivalry with Japan (1941-45). Nothing has changed, though its imperialist delusions of today, now embodied in the egomaniac Trump’s ‘Make Israel Great Again’ government, run by the fanatical Zionist Lindsey Graham, are ‘globalist’. This is the dream of planetary rule by infantile tantrum and protection racket bullying, salesman’s ultimatum and deadline. He is a man who deploys nuclear submarines because his social media comment was contradicted by a Russian politician! As for China and India, their role in 1914 was negligible, as they were then controlled by Western colonialism. However, today they have returned to what they were before any Western colonisation, 300 years ago, becoming the greatest industrial powers in the world, China at No 1 and India at No 3, even according to distorted official Western PPP figures.

Conclusion: The New World Order

As a whole, the world is returning to the situation of before 1914, though only in the sense that the world then was multipolar, that is, it was being led by a concert of Great Powers, and not One Power. All that has changed is the names of the Great Powers. But perhaps they would have changed anyway, without all the bloodshed of Three ‘World’ Wars, of attacks to destroy Russia, which is what the EU foreign representative Kallas so ardently and publicly proclaims as her aim? (But then Kallas comes from a Nazi family). In so many respects these Wars form one continuous War, interrupted by long, but temporary ceasefires. Then the Great Powers were the now collapsed empires of Western Europe, together with Russia and the USA. Today there are the Four Great Powers of China, Russia, the USA and India, as well as countries from Latin America (Brazil), Africa (South Africa and Ethiopia) and the Muslim world (Indonesia and Iran). This is the New World Order which has already begun.

World War and Chaos, America’s Megalomania and Crises, Europe’s Depravity and Fragmentation

Introduction: Millennial Revolution

The world has always been torn by rivalries between nations setting up empires. But all empires collapse. Thus, the Roman Empire, based in pagan Rome, actually had to build a wall against unconquered Northern Britain and man borders in what is now Germany and the Middle East, and collapsed. Its imperial overreach meant that it was divided into two, even into four at one point, but still the Western part collapsed under the barbarians. In 1204 the same barbarians sacked the capital of the Christian Eastern part, New Rome, and that too then collapsed under the eastern barbarians, the Ottomans. The British Empire, which conquered a quarter of the world, collapsed too, broken by bankrupting imperial rivalries in Europe and outraged national feelings and consequent liberation movements in Ireland, India, Africa and elsewhere. So today the American Empire (1945-2025?), which wanted to conquer the whole planet according to its post-1991 ideology, is also collapsing under the weight of its own hubris and overreach. You cannot keep the peoples of the world under, they will revolt and throw off your alien yoke, shouting, ‘Yanks Go Home!’

Like its immediate predecessor, the British Empire, which it imitates in everything, the American Empire was never able to conquer Russia and China (though Britain tried very hard by invading Russia between 1854-1856 and orchestrating the 1917 ‘Revolution’, which only made problems worse for it, replacing Imperial Russia with Soviet Russia, and in China by stealing Hong Kong for 150 years. After 1991, become ‘the only Superpower’, the Washington elite dared plan its universal domination (‘hegemony’), the aim of the science fiction US imperialists, who had even planted the US flag on the moon. That elite decided to try and destroy all opposition in the Middle East, succeeding in Libya and Syria, but utterly failing in Iran. This was partly because they had already utterly failed in Russia, where it corrupted the soft underbelly of the treacherous and eminently bribable atheist elite of the Ukraine – though the US elite still has not accepted this obvious defeat there. As for China, knowing that it was next on the list, it fully supports both Russia and Iran, and is joined by 90% of the world, which is gradually uniting into the Russian-founded BRICS.

Some comment that with the humiliating defeat of the Western world in the Ukraine, the Western domination of the world is over, after 500 years, ever since Columbus’ voyage of piracy in 1492. Apart from the fact that 2025 is more than 500 years since 1492, that date in any case only symbolises Western expansion to the ‘West Indies’ and its genocide in the Caribbean. It ignores Western expansion and genocides long before this, those by Charlemagne, and then to Southern and Eastern Europe from the 1000s on, to Northern Europe from 1066 on, and to Asia in 1096 and North Africa soon after. In fact, the Western domination of the world is finished after 1,000 years. The preference for Russian values in what was the Marxist Ukraine signifies that the Western world can no longer impose itself by organised violence and exploitation, slavery and colonisation, bullying and superior technology, sanctions and tariffs, on the rest of the world. The West has isolated itself in a corner against the 90%, the vast majority of the Non-Western world, which rejects its perversions posing as ‘freedom’ and its oligarchy posing as ‘democracy’.

Trump

‘TACO (‘Trump always chickens out’) Trump’, with his absurd contradictions, much-mocked buffoonery, megalomaniac hubris, astounding ignorance and pathological narcissism is typical of all the emperors of collapsing empires. Like them, he is full of contradictions and never keeps his word. He promised peace in the Ukraine within twenty-four hours, even before he had been inaugurated, but six months later the conflict is ever more violent. The culprits are Trump’s overweening opinion of himself and his total ignorance of reality and of history, typical of a New York real estate agent. Indeed, instead of peace, Trump has sent the terrorist regime in the Ukraine more arms, sponsored Israel’s genocide against Gaza and its massacres on the West Bank, in the Lebanon and Syria, so far to the tune of $17 billion, even by official figures, with US aircraft, bombs, missiles and US-trained pilots. Thus, only two countries in the world refuse to recognise Palestine: Israel and the USA. On Israeli orders, Trump even started a treacherous war against Iran, while at the same time conducting peace talks with it. Even Biden had twice avoided that Zionist bait.

Trump continues his aggressive rhetoric against China, trying to make the Philippines, Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Australia into ever more Georgian-and Ukrainian-style proxies for the US. They too have to die for the USA ‘to the last Ukrainian’. His tariffs are not only against China – he has created worldwide chaos with tariffs, which can appear or disappear at will, as the fantasy-bound Trump comes under pressure from real-world economics. For some reason he appears to imagine that tariffs are a tax on other countries, whereas they are in fact an inflationary tax on impoverished US consumers. Living with his head in the US-dominated 1950s, he imagines that the USA can replace imports, not realising that the US has deindustrialised itself, its greedy investors industrialising East Asia, making itself dependent on other countries’ manufactures. In his six months of ‘reign’, the US has become an open dictatorship, with the silenced Congress and the Senate playing hardly any role. US debt has increased even more, growing by over $1 million every second, over $12 billion a day, over $360 billion a month. Multiply that by twelve and….

Trump soon lost the support of the debt-cutting and anti-woke Musk, who was loved by MAGA nationalists. Although Trump has proved that the Obama ‘Russiagate’ was a fake, which we all knew anyway, this has not distracted from the Epstein pedophile scandal, which was run by two pro-Israelis, Epstein and Maxwell. Trump’s cover-up here has betrayed his promises to his MAGA base. He looks increasingly like a depraved Roman Emperor, and as a result about Trump there are now the worst possible rumours, for he knew Maxwell (real name Hoch) and Epstein very well. For his one-time MAGA base, Trump is now part of the very swamp which he had promised to drain. Showing signs of mental confusion like the early Biden, many wonder if the 79 year-old Trump will last the course of the full four years of his term. Vance is waiting in the wings. He may be needed. At least he appears to have some grasp of reality, not least as regards the Ukraine. Some are now saying that this is the only hope, that Trump will be relieved of his duties because of his mental health. He is now being disowned by his most ardent supporters and former fans.

Europe

Meanwhile, Trump has largely forgotten about Europe, as he is preoccupied with the Middle East and, above all, with the country that has a greater economy than that of the US, China. And why should he remember Europe? Europe is no longer the centre of the world, as the European elite like Borrell still deludedly imagines it to be, ‘we are the garden and the rest are the jungle’. As a result, European panic is turning into hysteria. ‘How will we cope without the Americans and NATO? Why has Trump turned NATO into a 5% protection racket? Why has the Roman Emperor abandoned his favourite mistress’? Why? Because he is a ruthless real estate agent. The three generation-old NATO, 1949 – 2024, is ending. Hopefully, RIP, and that it will not finish in nuclear holocaust, as NATO with its ever-aggressive hysterical rhetoric threatens Russia with invasion. So we now see the fragmentation of Europe. The Germans talk about obtaining nuclear weapons – the Poles shudder. The UK signs a ‘defence treaty’ with Germany. Why, both are already in NATO? The ex-Catholic South of Europe refuses to do so. It has better things to spend its scarce money on.

The end of the US-created NATO also means the end of its economic arm, the US-created EU. Both have headquarters very close to each other in Brussels and work hand in hand. Yet Brexit has already taken place, others speak of Frexit, Dexit, Italexit etc. France is as usual upset by Germany. Germany used to be the economic engine of the EU and nuclear France the political and military engine of the EU. Now Germany is in recession and France’s military is a laughing stock, though not as big a laughing stock as its recent crop of incompetent Presidents. Whether they concern the EU or NATO, the divisions are profound. As for the UK, it probably has the weakest and most depleted military of all, with more admirals than ships, aircraft that are leased and do not fly anyway, and a rapidly disappearing army with only 40 working tanks, though it does have 500 horses. Belgium wants to buy useless US planes, which is what the US wants to sell to everyone, and so has upset France, which wants to sell its planes to its Belgian vassal. Italy and Spain are going their own way. Ireland is pro-Palestinian. Hungary and Slovakia block every anti-Russian decision. Unity?

What will happen to this fragmenting Europe? It is already dividing into three separate parts. Firstly, there is the hysterical and fanatical, mainly ex-Protestant, mainly North-West: the UK, Netherlands, Germany (but will AfD East Germany go along with this?), the three Scandinavians, Finland and the three Baltic statelets. Secondly, there is the supple and even Russia-flexible, mainly ex-Catholic, mainly South-West: Italy, Spain, Portugal, probably bankrupt France, once it is freed of its fantasy-President, and probably Poland, once it has signed a security treaty with Russia and given up its imperialist claims to Belarus. Thirdly, there is the half-Orthodox, traditional Catholic, Muslim and pragmatic South-East. They look eastwards to their neighbour, Russia, in the North-East, and beyond it to China. They want to be the terminus of the Chinese New Silk Road. This is the only way out for them, to forget the aggressive US and EU policy towards China and to reconcile with Russia. All this means integration into Eurasia, which is not just logical, but also beneficial. They are ready to forget the Ukraine, which they have only ever known as the worldwide hub for corruption.

Conclusion: A Non-Western World Order

Trump resembles a school bully. Having just threatened and bullied the cowardly pygmies of the EU into paying him protection money of 15% and promising to buy $600 billion of US arms, he has now gone to Russia, China, India, Brazil and India and threatened them too. However, he has not noticed that they are much bigger than him, Russia militarily and China economically, and all of them morally, intellectually, culturally and diplomatically. Moreover, he has not noticed either that the rest of the world stands behind them, not behind him, and they are mocking him as a clown. And for that matter he has not noticed either that a lot of ordinary Americans and a lot of ordinary people in Western Europe are accusing him of supporting the Israeli holocaust of the Palestinians and of hushing up the disgusting Epstein files, in which his name his mentioned. Nor does he seem to be aware that doubts have been cast about Macron’s ‘wife’, Starmer’s links with Ukrainian male prostitutes, Merz’s and Zelensky’s alleged use of cocaine and von der Leyen’s Nazi ancestry. Perhaps he should think twice before consorting with such people in the first place.

Trump’s concept of ‘negotiations’ with Russia is to continue to subsidise and arm the Ukraine, not to listen to, let alone understand, the Russian side, but to flatter them and then bully them, like some mafia gangster imposing a protection racket, operated by sanctions and tariffs: ‘Accept our terms or else’. The ‘or else’ means further bullying, which in his case is utterly futile, as Russia is stronger than the US, with far more raw materials, is the breadbasket of the world, has a much greater industrial base, and has far better and more advanced arms. Also, it is not bankrupt to the tune of $37 trillion of debt. It is becoming ever clearer that the three ‘World Wars’ (the Third One with its encirclement of Russia by US bases is now) were futile and just delayed the inevitable, which is that Russia, stretching from the borders of Poland via Belarus to the shores of the Pacific, twice the size of Canada, with the fourth largest economy in the world and the largest economy in Europe, is destined to dominate Europe economically, though without humiliating it, as did the Soviet Union, which was the invention of the failed ideology of Marxism, which was imposed on Russia by the West.

With Proxyland Ukraine gone and the Western world routed and isolated, because it has insulted, intimidated and argued with everyone else, the whole Western world has become an international laughing stock. With its NATO terrorism, bullying and threats mocked and gone, the whole world changes. To start with, the UN Security Council will be seen as a 1945 anachronism, which is what it is. It will surely come to have eight members: not just those of the three Great Powers, China, Russia and the USA, but also India, Brazil and members representing Africa, the Asian Muslim world and Western Europe. There will be no more anachronistic France and the UK. At last, the real world will be represented. China, India and Africa alone represent over half of the world’s population. Of course, the 54 countries of Africa, as well as the Asian Muslim world, from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan to Indonesia) and Western Europe, from Iceland to Cyprus, will have to negotiate to find adequate representatives. Beyond this, Western organisations, from the IMF to the IAEA, will be overtaken by BRICS, which is destined to replace the UN anyway.

125 Years of Putting Off the Inevitable

Introduction: What If?

The First World War was triggered by great imperial rivalries, above all those between Britain and Germany, and financed by the big banks, centred in London and New York, and encouraged by greedy arms merchants. They were helped by French and Austro-Hungarian revanchism and the feelings of the oppressed small peoples, the Serbian, Irish, Polish, Finnish, Czech, Slovak, Slovene, Croat etc. The unjust outcome at Versailles in 1919 made the Second World War inevitable. And its injustices in turn made inevitable the collapse of the USSR, the wars in Yugoslavia and now in the Ukraine. Yet, peace could have been arrived at, perhaps in the Tsar’s Hague in 1900, without the needless bloodshed of tens of millions. For the unviable Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian Empires would have collapsed anyway and the other colonial empires, British, French, Dutch, Portuguese, German and Belgian, could have dissolved peacefully.

Towards Today’s World

Imperial Russia could have decentralised then, as it did in any case between 1917 and 1991. The world would then inevitably and peacefully have seen what we see today: an economically German-dominated Western Europe, a Russian-dominated North Asia (Eurasia), a Chinese-dominated East Asia, an Indian-dominated South Asia, an Arab-dominated West Asia (‘the Middle East’), and a US-dominated Northern America. In the Global South, Latin America, Africa and Oceania would all have gone their own ways, free of colonial tyranny and ruthless imperialist exploitation. Only because the banks and the arms dealers did not want it, did it not happen then. Just as today in the Ukraine, so then there plenty who did not want peace. However, none of this ‘what if’, suppositional, counterfactual history addresses the real situation today in 2025. How could the problems of the present be resolved, despite the huge errors of the past?

If there is to be peace in Europe, there can be no more Western support for the Fascist regime in Kiev, neither military, nor financial (nor for the Fascist regimes in the Baltics, Scandinavia, Germany, France and the UK). The ‘Ukrainians’ must be freed of the regime that has been massively killing its own men as proxies to die for the USA. Then the Russian Federation would be able to create a new, smaller, but historically-based, and not Soviet-fantasy Ukraine, with the nine provinces of Crimea and the south and east returning to Russia, the four and a half south-western provinces returning to Poland (two and a half provinces), Hungary (one province) and Romania (one province), and the remaining half of the old Soviet Ukraine becoming historic Kievan Rus. That could be its new name with a new flag, as the name ‘Ukraine’ and its flag, Austrian inventions of the century before last, are absurd.

If it created peace, the bankrupt USA could withdraw its forces from all over Europe and close its bases there, and the anachronism of NATO could at last disappear, saving the USA trillions of dollars. It should have disappeared on 25 February 1991, when the Warsaw Pact disappeared. Similarly, if there is to be peace in West Asia, there can be no more US (and UK) support for the Fascist regime in Israel (even if that means that those compromised by the Mossad Epstein, are outed). Israeli Zionism has largely bankrupted the US through the futile wars of the US and its defeats in those wars. Finally, Taiwan would at last be free to return to China, and so Japan, South Korea, the Philippines and Australia could save hundreds of billions of dollars in needless offence (‘defence’) spending. And the USA could withdraw its troops and close its bases there too, saving it hundreds of billions of wasted dollars.

The Russian Church

If there is to be peace in the Church, a new Patriarch would have to be elected in Moscow. This would be he who would restore communion with the Patriarchate Constantinople, except with the invaders under it on Russian canonical territory, and begin talks with the Patriarchate of Alexandria about its jurisdiction in Africa. Then the ball would be in Constantinople’s court to elect a new and at last politically free Patriarch. The full Council of Bishops in Moscow could grant autocephaly to the twelve and a half provinces of Kievan Rus, also allowing the Kievan Church to control its Diaspora. Then it could grant autocephaly to Moldova, in concert with the Romanian Church, in exchange for the return of North Bukovina to Romania, retiring the four discredited Moscow bishops in Moldova, refrocking all those defrocked for political reasons and allowing the Moldovan Church to control its Diaspora.

Autocephaly could also be granted to the Belarusian Church, the Baltic Orthodox Church (covering Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland) and to the Hungarian Orthodox Church, which would be based on the 600+ parishes of the old Transcarpathia, the province transferred back to Hungary from the Soviet Ukraine. The already Autocephalous Orthodox Church in America (OCA) could at last rename itself OCNA (Orthodox Church of Northern America), in return receiving into itself the forty or so parishes in Northern America at present under Moscow, on condition that Bishop Alexander Belja head the new ‘Kievan and Russian Diocese’ of the OCNA. Moscow should dissolve the anachronistic and largely schismatic Church Outside Russia (ROCOR), with its Russian parishes in the USA and Canada joining the OCNA in two dioceses, of east and west. Those who refused would go off to sects, as usual.

The remaining ROCOR parishes, in Western Europe and Australia, and its few small communities still left in Latin America and the Caribbean, could be handed over to Moscow, as part of three newly Autonomous Metropolias, namely those of Western Europe, Latin America, and Oceania. Internally, Moscow’s Soviet-founded, ecumenist Department of External Relations could be transformed into the Department for Inter-Orthodox Friendship. Bishop-bureaucrats should either become diocesan bishops or else be ‘retired’. There would be no place for ecumenists and ‘cardinal-metropolitans’ in the truly post-Soviet Russian Orthodox Church, which should drop the Soviet title of ‘Moscow Patriarchate’ for the ‘Patriarchate of New Jerusalem.’ Finally, discredited bishops should be ‘retired’ and all priests and deacons absurdly defrocked for political reasons since 2022 should be refrocked and restored.

Conclusion: In the Church

As by far the largest Local Church, eight times bigger than the second largest, a de-Sovietised Russian Church has a special responsibility to the other at present fifteen Local Orthodox Churches, not least to a de-CIA-ised Constantinople. Only such actions as the above could help gather together all the other Local Churches in an Inter-Orthodox Council. Here there would be one overriding topic of discussion: the uncanonical Orthodox Diaspora situation, the inevitable resolution to which has been put off for over a century only by politics. The paralysis of the Church from the Soviet age, when Constantinople was used as a Cold War pawn against Russia, and today’s paralysis from the Second Cold War, also launched by the USA, must end. And the Soviet centralisation of the Russian Church must end. There is hope for the future, but only in a Church at last free of both Soviet and CIA mentalities and interference.

The End of the Second Western Empire and the Road from Damascus: The Just Shall Live by His Faith and the Prophecies of Habbakuk

The First Western Empire lasted just over 500 years, from 27 BC in Rome to 476 AD in Rome (there was no year zero). Its successor, the Second Western Empire, lasted twice as long, 1,000 years, from 1014 with the proclamation of the filioque in Rome to 2014 with, in effect, the proclamation of the filioque in Kiev. This Second and Last Empire was much weakened by tribal rivalries between the nine phases of the Western Empire in Europe. These were between the ‘Holy Roman’, Northern Italian (Venice, Genoa, Florence), Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, French, British, German and Soviet phases. Their rival jostling for leadership of the Empire led to two suicidal European (World) Wars and to the final and tenth phase of the Western Empire, its American phase.

The First Western Empire fell and now the Second is falling. The parallels are obvious. The First Empire fell to ‘barbarians’, but who were less barbarian than Rome. The First Western Empire fell because the Romans who lived on its periphery sided with the converted ‘barbarians’, realising that Rome was the barbarian. Today the Second Western Empire is falling to Non-Westerners, not least of whom are the Russians, who today are converted, more European than the Europeans. The Non-Westerners, ‘the Rest’, form the Sovereign World, whose struggle for multipolarity is the struggle for justice and prosperity. The Western Empire can only respond by convincing countries to commit suicide, as in the Ukraine, Georgia and all of the EU, starting with Nordstream Germany.

The upshot of the First European War was the British-operated regime change in the Russian empire at the end of 1916, which backfired disastrously into the Soviet quagmire. The result of the Second European War was American intervention (it had already taken place in the First European War, as soon as the British had overthrown their Russian rivals) and American leadership of the Western Empire from 1945 on. Now the Americans always promoted gangsters and terrorists to head their imperial client-states. Thus, after reaching an apogee at the turn of the millennium, they declined rapidly. This always happens, as the method used contains the seeds of its own destruction (1). ‘Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind’. So now all is backfiring into the Syrian quagmire of beheadings.

The artificial, post-Ottoman countries of West Asia, designed by the divide and rule British (and French) after the First World War and held together by brutal dictators (only such could hold artificial countries together), are crumbling. Iraq, Libya and Syria. Who is next? The Jordan? Lebanon? Egypt? Syria is a trap for the Western Empire. It was only a pawn between the West and the Rest. Far more important pieces on the Western side of the chessboard can now be taken by the Rest. The Western Empire is today like a cornered, wounded and snarling beast. Cornered because it has painted itself into a corner; wounded because it has lost all its wars, from Korea to the Ukraine; snarling because it has humiliated itself in defeats and because liberation from the West for all Afro-Eurasia is here.

Thus, the Second Western Empire started collapsing immediately after reaching its apogee, the criminal ascent to which contained the seeds of its own destruction. This destruction is the result of unscrupulous imperial overreach, just like that in the First Western Empire 1600 years before. This most recent stage in the collapse began with the fall of the Soviet phase of the Empire at the end of 1991, exactly three generations after the end of the Russian Imperial phase in 1916. That Soviet phase was only the short-lived, dissident last European phase of the Western Empire, patterned by successive phases. Everything is now in motion, the outposts of the Western Empire are falling one by one. We are now on the Road from Damascus – the Road towards Jerusalem.

Despite its dissidence which came from its Western Marxist ideology, the Soviet phase of the Western Empire still shared in the same basic immoral materialistic ideology as all the others. This explains why the fall of the Soviet empire was not the end of a process, as some deluded people like Fukuyama thought, but the beginning of a process, that of the final phase and fall of the Western Empire. The fall of the Soviet empire merely presaged the fall of the American empire a generation later. (Both the Soviet Union and America were former European colonies which overtook the eight heartland phases of the Western Empire). Now we are at ‘the end of history’, that is, at the end of Western history, the result of the imperial overreach in the regime change operation in Kiev in 2014.

And so world history is beginning again after its millennial Western Imperial interruption. Each country of the world, big or small, is now reclaiming and returning to its roots, restoring its sovereignty, identity, nationhood and traditions. The future is not Imperial, but Multipolar, which means it is composed of the co-operation of many centres and of the collaboration of the Nations. From Russia to China, from India to Iran, from Africa to Latin America, from Vietnam to Polynesia, we no longer see the attempt by one Nation to subjugate others to its imperial supremacy and domination, so forming an Empire, instead we see anti-imperial Sovereignties. We have come to the time of the prophecies of Habbakuk (Avvakum), beginning in Chapter 1, Verse 5:

Chapter 1, 2 O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!

3 Why dost thou show me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.

4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgement never goes forth: for the wicked compasses about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceeds.

5 Behold among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which you will not believe, though it be told to you.

6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwelling places that are not theirs.

7 They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.

8 Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are fiercer than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hastens to eat.

9 They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.

10 And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every stronghold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.

6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.

13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck.

16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he comes up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.

Note:

This ‘bully, sanction and bomb’ policy is the case even of an American bishop sent abroad to assemble all the worst elements in his tiny church, fanatics and careerists, in order to seize power, ‘bullying, sanctioning and bombing’ and so expelling all the honest when challenged. This is exactly the same American technique containing exactly the same seeds of destruction.

The Fall of the Moscow Patriarchate and the Rise of the Russian Orthodox Church

‘God so loved the world that He did not send a Committee’.

Foreword: The Hundred Years War Is Ending

The Hundred Years War (1914-2024) is at last ending, not in Sarajevo where the first part began in 1914, not in Warsaw, where the second part began in 1939, but in Kiev, where the third part began in 2014. The second and third parts were made inevitable by the key, first part, caused by rival Imperialisms. All three parts have pulled into Europe the USA, which had profited from them until the last part. But the seeds of US success contained the seeds of its own destruction. In order to maintain its supremacy, the US yoked itself to a delusional madman in Kiev, who has the most developed sense of entitlement of any of his people. When he does not get the means of destruction that he wants, and that is always more and more lethal, he throws a tantrum, like any spoilt actor or diva who wants adulation.

As with any spoilt child, all you have to do is call his bluff, that is, ignore him and walk away. However, he is still by far the most dangerous dictator of the many recruited and employed by the US, in any banana republic whether in Latin America, Western Europe, the Middle East or the Far East, with the possible exception of the equally genocidal maniac, Netanyahu. For Kiev wants nuclear weapons. It was inevitable. All that the US – and hysterical Western Europe – have to do is to pull the carpet from under the Kiev dictator’s feet. However, war victory in the Ukraine, or even the potential peace victory, do nothing to solve the spiritual and structural crisis in the Russian Church, whose jurisdiction used to extend to all the territories of the former USSR and beyond them to the Western world.

The Fall of the Moscow Patriarchate

The Russian Orthodox Church administration in Moscow, founded, named and centralised in Soviet times as ‘the Moscow Patriarchate’, is in great difficulty. It has once again tried to impose impossible political demands on the consciences of clergy and faithful everywhere, just as it did in the late 1920s, of which the ‘Sergianist’ mentality is currently much admired within the Patriarchate. These political demands stretch to outside the Russian Federation and Belarus – though even inside these countries it has great difficulties. There it has even ‘defrocked’ clergy for having political views on the tragic conflict in the Ukraine which are different from those of the Patriarchal authorities.

Wanting to pray not for ‘victory’, but for peace, that is, for the Victory of Christ, persecuted independent clergy have often had to flee abroad. Moscow also finds its churches boycotted by many faithful all over Russia. Surely an Orthodox is defined by his agreement with the Creed, the Symbol of Faith, not by his political views? Why this dogmatisation of political opinions and the canons, as also happened during the Soviet period? Surely the dogmatisation of non-dogmatic political views is, by definition, uncanonical? Outside those two Russian territories, where Patriarchal authority is backed up by the State, the situation of the Moscow Patriarchate is not just difficult, but catastrophic.

Inside the Former USSR

Inside the former USSR, the worst situation is in the Ukraine. Here over 12,000 churches and their clergy no longer commemorate the Russian Patriarch, since he is seen as an enemy leader. This is a pastoral disaster. How does a pastor come to be seen as the enemy of his people? He may reply that their perspective is wrong, but the fact is that that is how they perceive him. And it is too late to do anything about it. In Latvia, Russian Orthodox also no longer commemorate him, as the four besieged bishops there have had to declare independence from Moscow, despite their divided flock, who are often boycotting the Church. The situation is chaotic.

Meanwhile, in Lithuania and Estonia, the Russian Church is faced by schisms due to its disputed authority. Indeed, the Patriarch is not even allowed entry into Lithuania (nor into the UK and Canada). In Central Asia, there is dissidence and some are leaving for abroad, others declare that they are retiring. In Moldova, the only country in the former Soviet Union (apart from Georgia) where there is a canonical alternative to the Moscow jurisdiction, over a hundred more clergy have this year alone left with their parishes for the Orthodox Patriarchate of Romania, tired of Russian nationalism, racism and their mistreatment as third-class citizens.

Outside the Former USSR

Outside the territories of the former USSR, the Moscow Patriarchate finds itself in schism with the imperialistic Greek Orthodox world as a result of mutual disputes regarding ‘canonical territory’. This is not because either is intent on doing missionary work among Non-Orthodox, but rather each is intent on trying to steal each other’s flocks. In North America, Metropolitan Nicholas, the leading bishop of the Anabaptist ROCOR sect, an out-of-control American Protestant-style and anti-Russian (!) schismatic group under the Moscow Patriarchate, finds that people walk out on him when he prays for the Russian Patriarch and people refuse to donate.

In Western Europe many Russian Orthodox priests refuse to commemorate the Russian Patriarch or have left him. As for the Ukrainians, they have set up 100 parishes, separate from Moscow in Western Europe. And Moldovans are doing the same. In Australia and especially in Latin America, many will have nothing to do with the Moscow Patriarchate. In general, outside the former USSR, the parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate resemble ever smaller, ever more inward-looking, ever more nationalistic groups, often numbering only a dozen or two. As for native Orthodox people, everywhere they are tired of being treated as third-class citizens by Moscow and are leaving.

Babylon Versus Jerusalem

Let us be frank. The mentality that now pervades the apparently often ‘effeminate’ upper reaches of the Moscow Patriarchate is careerist, not saintly, political, not pastoral, bureaucratic, not spiritual, nationalistic, not multinational, Statist, not canonical. For that reason, they are losing their authority and people are, as the phrase goes, voting with their feet and leaving them. However, this fall of the ‘cardinals’ (be they overt or covert) of the Moscow Patriarchate and its associated Soviet-period administrative groups, like ROCOR, is leading to the rise of the Russian Orthodox Church, for the fall of Babylon always leads to the rise of Jerusalem, paradoxically the dead hand of the State brings opposition and so life.

The Rise of the Russian Orthodox Church

The fall of top-heavy, militaristic, Soviet-period superstructures like the Moscow Patriarchate or ROCOR is because the grassroots faithful want to return to the authentic Church. The great mainstream tradition of the monastics, pastors and people of the Russian Church is very much alive. Who were Sts Antony and Theodosius of the Kiev Caves? They were real Churchmen, not careerist administrators with their ‘protocols’, they were enlighteners of the peoples of Rus, who brought forth a host of saints, whose holy relics lie in the Kiev Caves today and give out myrrh, calling to God.

Who was the great Russian Orthodox St Sergius of Radonezh? Why is he called the Builder of Russia? He was the heir to that multinational network of monks and saints who spread again the prayer of the heart from St Gregory Palamas and Mt Athos through the Balkans north to the Russian Lands. He and his disciples, like St Nil of Sora, set up dozens and dozens of monasteries to spread the Word of God into still pagan central Russia and this movement spread ultimately to Siberia, the Pacific Coast and even beyond, through St Herman of Alaska and his companions, who spread the Light of Christ to California.

More Recent Saints

Who was St Job of Pochaev? He was the monastic founder who turned the Western Ukraine into an advanced post of Orthodoxy, a bastion against those whose filioquism was a political instrument for the Polish oppression of Orthodox in order to gain more power and wealth. Who was St Paisy (Velichkovsky)? He was the heir to the monastic renewal, forced by persecuting German Tsarinas to take refuge from what is now the Ukraine in what is now Romania, and from there to re-enlighten the Russian Lands, liberating them from the schismatic curses caused by the purely external observances of ritualism and State nationalism.

Who was St Seraphim of Sarov? He was the old, bent-over monk digging in his vegetable-patch in Sarov, whom the rich and ignoble noble regarded as a dirty peasant, because he looked at the saint’s rags and not his praying heart of gold, and who was canonised at the insistence of the pious Tsar against the opinion of bishop-bureaucrats. Who was St John of Kronstadt? He was the righteous and fragrant pastor who prophesied all, exactly as it happened, because the idle rich parasites, who persecuted him and were jealous of him, refused to repent for their persecution of the real Church and the Tsar and enraged the oppressed who then revolted.

The Saints After 1917

Who were the New Martyrs and Confessors, from Tsar Nicholas to St Tikhon, Apostle of America, Bishop of San Francisco and American citizen, who had the services translated into English, and then became the Patriarch of Moscow, from the Martyrs of Solovki to the 20,000 Martyrs of Butovo, from the Martyrs of Kazakhstan to the Martyrs of Kolyma, from St Matrona of Moscow to St Seraphim of Vyritsa, from St Laurence of Chernigov to St Luke of Crimea? Who was the universal missionary St John of Shanghai and Western Europe, persecuted and suspended by ROCOR bishops for being a good pastor and not a right-wing ideologist, and the wise fool Mother Alypia of Kiev, who saw through sinners to their hearts?

These all were those who thought nothing of nationality and politics, but knew that if they sought the Kingdom of Heaven first, then all would be added unto them, and for this reason they became saints. And, despite the persecution of bishop-bureaucrats, effeminates in love with luxury, they were and are followed by a countless host of saints, fools-for-Christ, prophets, faithful women and children, priests and nuns, who are victorious, as they were and are not the practitioners of politicians, but, as practitioners of Christ, the victims of politicians. We know that we are on their side and are undefeatable, for we follow Christ, Who overthrew the devil and defeated our enemy, Death, restoring all to Life.

Jerusalem Conquers Babylon

Faithfulness to the thousands of years of the Saints of the Universal Church, from the Patriarchs and Prophets of the Old Bible, from the Mother of God to St John the Forerunner, from the Apostles to the Martyrs, from St Spyridon to St Nicholas, from St Basil to St John Chrysostom, from St Maximus the Confessor to St Paraskeva, from St Xenia to St Nectarius of Aegina, and faithfulness to the thousand years of Saints of the Russian Lands, are why the Russian Orthodox Church triumphs against the political schisms of mere Patriarchal ‘careerist administrators’ and ‘effective managers’. The Saints all show not the Primacy of ecclesiastical bureaucrats, but the Primacy of the Holy Spirit, the Victory of Christ.

Afterword: God Gives Opportunities

The territory of the Russian Federation forms by far the largest country in the world. It is the territory of the USA and the Continent of Australia combined. Its natural resources are extraordinary. In a word, it has everything. It could easily support a population five or perhaps ten times greater than it has now. And yet this is the country that suicidally threw so much away in 1917, before which year the Russian Empire had undergone phenomenal growth for a generation, which was to continue. In 1914 its projected population by the year 2000 was some 600 million. That of the Russian Federation today is 145 million.

I remember visiting the USSR in 1973 and 1976 and saying that I would not return until the Church was free. I remember visiting the Russian Federation many times between 2007 and 2018 and always thinking the situation is on a knife-edge. Either it will go one way, towards Orthodoxy, or else to the other, to militaristic nationalism and purely outward and bureaucratic ritualism. It went this other way. However, there is still the chance to step back from suicide, to the catholicity of the Church, towards good relations with the other Local Churches, so rejoining the mainstream of Love and Truth. May it be so!

Right Makes Might: On the Emerging Post-Western New World Order

Introduction: In the Ukraine

The only question here is if the Kiev regime will collapse and capitulate before 1 January 2025 or afterwards. Western media still practise ‘editorial control’ (= censorship) and distraction (= talk about something else which is petty, irrelevant and of no importance). However, they affect only the fairy-tale ‘narrative’, not the reality of, for example, 100,000 desertions from the NATO-directed, Kiev regime Army. These press-ganged soldiers are refusing to fight because they do not want to commit suicide in the utterly corrupt armed forces.

There is nothing to fight for. They want to go home to their families. Conversely, in Russia they are talking not about Western delusions, which they ignore, but about reality, for example, reparations to be paid by Kiev and war crime trials for the Nazi Kiev regime leaders, who have in fact murdered their own people. They are the true anti-Ukrainians, together with Western leaders who want to fight against Russia ‘to the last Ukrainian’. It is their version of genocide. Such Western leaders too should be tried in war crimes courts.

In the Russian Federation

As regards today’s Russia, some silly people ask if it will revert to the Imperialism of Peter I of 1721 to 1917 or to the very similar Imperialism of the Soviets 1922-1991 (the Soviets adored Peter I), as obviously Russia will not revert to the catastrophes of Western oligarchism (1991-2022).

Clearly, Russia will return to no form of Imperialism because they all by definition failed. The Western academics who propose such fantasies have no understanding. Russia is reverting to itself, which is what Tsar Nicholas II wanted, before he was removed by the Western plotters in 1917, who prevented him from doing so.

The problem is that this truth has not yet been told about the 1917 tragedy. Once the diaries of the Tsarina Alexandra, concealed for so many years, are finally published, all will know and all the Western ‘narratives’ about 1917 will then collapse.

In Europe

The EU has clearly become a vassal of the Washington neocon elite – just as the UK has long been. The EU elite, like the UK elite, is no longer pro-European, but pro-NATO, that is, pro-Washington, that is, anti-European. This is why when Germany’s Nordstream lifeline to Russian energy was blown up by the USA and its proxies and the country went into serious economic decline, the German ruling class was silent. Europe’s rulers hate their own countries and peoples, whom they ignore, even when the people vote them out, as in France. The elitists are anti-national because they are globalists.

The oligarchic nomenklatura of unelected European Union Commissioners, some of them the grandchildren of Nazi officers, are silent. In any case, the elite of the Brussels Politburo has little concept of the lives of ordinary Europeans. It is only an imitation of the unelected oligarchy who rule in Washington, and who also have no concept of the lives of ordinary Americans. They too are anti-national because they too are globalists. The solution to Europe’s self-inflicted woes is neither to be found in being pro-US, nor in being pro-Russian.

The solution is to be found in being pro-European, that is, pro-Hungarian, pro-Slovak, now pro-Georgian (after the failure there of US/’NGO’ and EU electoral fraud under its French puppet President) and, one day, perhaps even pro-French, pro-German, pro-Italian and pro-English. But that means liberation from the yoke of the globalist corporatism which rules us. This means not only liberation from their political yoke, but also from the ideological yoke of the ‘journalists’ paid by that elite, the mere propagandist-mercenaries of the oligarchs. None of them has ever heard the word ‘Truth’.

The World

The West has been defeated, not by millions of Vietnamese or Afghan peasants, but by the Russian Superpower against the (US-supplied and US-trained) largest army in NATO, that of the Kiev regime. The only way that the US could ever have won in the Ukraine is by launching a nuclear war against Russia, which would have meant the utter destruction of the USA itself, since Russia has better nuclear arms than the USA. The defeat of the Western Establishment in the Ukraine means that Might does not make Right. This is why the New World Order is about multilateralism, multipolarity, countries working together for their mutual benefit.

We are no longer talking about being dominated and exploited by one imperialist power. Imperialism, which caused World War I, World War II and nearly World War III, is being replaced by Sovereignism, the co-operation of nation-states. The multilateral or multipolar BRICS is now replacing the Western World Order and its Western-controlled UN and other puppet organisations. This is because those who join BRICS enhance their sovereignty, instead of handing it over to some new Washington or Brussels. It will be up to the West to eat humble pie and enter BRICS, as an equal among many, merely part of the World Community, for it is Right that makes Might, not the other way round. This is the millennial revelation to the Western world. The days of its Supremacy and its G7 club are over.

BRICS includes all Non-Western continents, Asia (China, India), Europe (Russia), Africa (South Africa) and South America (Brazil). Now with ten core members (true, Saudi Arabia has not yet formalised its membership as Number 10), there are twenty-five more countries which are sooner or later going to become full members or partner-states, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Algeria, Nigeria, Senegal, Uganda, Venezuela, Bolivia, Cuba, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tadzhikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Syria, Turkey, Belarus and Serbia. BRICS has gone from a Non-Western Alliance to a true International Community, far more representative of the world than the US puppet, which is called the failed UN.

Conclusion: The Church

Right is Might is in fact the principle of the canon law of the Orthodox Church. And that is why all those who promote nationalist politics in Church administrations, that is, who proclaim that Might is Right against the law of the Gospel, the primacy of the Kingdom of Heaven, forfeit all spiritual and moral right to their positions.

Those who place racist politics and their nationalist ‘protocols’ above the pastoral care of souls do not qualify. They will disappear and, at best, be forgotten by history – at worst, they will die like Arius. The future is with those who clearly have a universal message, which can appeal to all. The paths of the sect lead but to inglory.

Russophobia and the Ukraine: Self-Liberation or Self-Destruction for Western Europe?

PART ONE: Russophobia and the Ukraine

Introduction: Western Russophobia

Western Russophobia has always been based on a large number of artificial and utterly hypocritical oppositions: Superior-inferior; West-East; European-Asiatic; Christian-barbarian; Civilised-primitive; Modern-backward; Strong-weak; Liberal-autocratic; Democratic-authoritarian; Good-evil; White-black. In other words, the West is always right. In fact it has always based its ‘rightness’ on lies, PR propaganda, Hitlerian racist enmity and a series of hypocritical prejudices. Let us look at this Russophobia in one specific case, the classic British case.

British Russophobia

After the defeat of Napoleon at Waterloo in 1815, a defeat largely owed to the German Prussians rather than to Wellington, Great Britain no longer had an enemy. It soon found one: Russia. Russia had directly defeated Napoleon and his Combined Western Army of twelve nationalities of some 600,000 in 1812, and had then liberated Paris in 1814. Therefore, it was a potential rival and therefore the enemy. By the 1830s this feeling of hostility towards Russia had been developed under the pro-Ottoman Urquhart and British imperialists invented the paranoid, anti-Russian, delusional narrative of ‘the Great Game’.

So came the full-scale, unprovoked invasion of Russia in the so-called ‘Crimean War’ of 1853-1856. Then Britain’s propaganda machine suddenly switched from being anti-French to anti-Russian and from anti-Ottoman to pro-Ottoman, allying itself with the vengeful Napoleon III, the nephew of the previous evil enemy, and with the Muslim Ottomans. At the end of the nineteenth century the British were to exploit the anti-Jewish pogroms, conducted almost wholly by Lithuanian, Polish and Ukrainian Galician peasants, and none of which took place on Russian territory, as yet another anti-Russian tool.

Free England Condemns the Hypocrisy of the British Ruling Class

In the 1830s the English liberal Richard Cobden (1804-1865) called for an end to this Russophobia. He was already arguing that just as ‘in the slave trade we (the British) had surpassed in guilt the world, so in foreign wars we have the most aggressive, quarrelsome, warlike and bloody nation under the sun’. In October 1850 he wrote a letter claiming that in the last 25 years ‘you will find that we have been incomparably the most sanguinary nation on earth… in China, in Burma, in India, New Zealand, the Cape, Syria, Spain, Portugal, Greece, etc, there is hardly a country, however remote, in which we have not been waging war or dictating our terms at the point of a bayonet’. Cobden stated that the British, ‘the greatest blood-shedders of all’, had been then involved in more wars than the rest of Europe put together. This was factually correct.

For this, Cobden blamed the British Establishment aristocracy, which he stated had ‘converted the combativeness of the English race to its own ends’. On the British invasion of Burma in 1852, Cobden wrote: ‘I blush for my country, and the very blood in my veins tingled with indignation at the wanton disregard of all justice and decency without our proceedings towards that country exhibited. The violence and wrongs perpetrated by Pizarro or Cortez were scarcely veiled in a more transparent pretence of right than our own’. The Burmese, Cobden continued, had ‘no more chance against our 64-pound red-hot shot and other infernal improvement in the art of war than they would in running a race on their roads against our railways…the day on which we commenced the war with a bombardment of shot, shell and rockets…that the natives must have thought it an onslaught of devils, was Easter Sunday!’

Western Fascism

In the end, Great Britain ‘won’ its Great Game by overthrowing the Tsar through its regime-change operation which culminated in 1917. But that was a Pyrrhic victory. It all went wrong, for it was in this way that Britain was largely responsible for creating the anti-Western Communist Soviet Union, which replaced the highly Westernised Christian Russian Empire. When the next Combined West invaded Russia in June 1941 under Hitler, the second Napoleon, this multinational invasion from the West was welcomed by the Russophobic British. However, it ended unexpectedly with Russian troops liberating Vienna and Berlin from Western Fascism in 1945.

This was exactly as the Russian Empire had been about to do in 1917 before the British sabotage of Russia in the so-called ‘Revolution’. In reality, despite British anti-Russian propaganda about pogroms, the pogroms in Germany and Austria were far worse than any in the Non-Russian territories in the west of the old Russian Empire. And it was precisely such Western pogroms which later gave rise to the appalling and purely Western phenomenon of Fascism and Nazism, most of whose death-camps were, like Auschwitz, liberated by Russian-led Soviet troops.

Occupying the Ukraine

Now we leave to history the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union and move forward to our own times. Once Russia had thrown off the purely Western atheist Communist yoke in 1991 (yes, Communism is like Fascism a Western ideology and has nothing Russian about it), there was a period in which the US-led Western world invented a new enemy, Islam. However, given its ensuing defeats in the Muslim world in the 2010s, its attention turned back to Russia as its enemy once more. On the hundredth anniversary of the outbreak of World War One, the Combined West, now called NATO, meaning Washington and its mainly Western European vassals, invaded the Russian Lands again: Paris, Berlin, Washington. Napoleon, Hitler, Biden.

This meant the CIA violently toppling the democratically-elected Ukrainian government in Kiev in 2014, applauded by EU Commissars. After eight years of pleading for peace since 2014, in 2022 Russia was obliged to pre-empt the planned Kiev invasion and genocide of the Russian Lands in the south and east by NATO-trained and NATO-supplied Kiev regime forces. The US intention was to use the Kiev regime and its troops as pawns, suicidal proxies to weaken and destroy Russia. Russia pre-empted the invasion by sending token forces into the Ukraine. Thus began the liberation of the Russian south and east of the Soviet-invented ‘Ukraine’, so dismantling this purely artificial country, invented by Western-created Communist monsters from 1922 on, into its constituent parts. This means essentially into Russia, Ukraine, Poland. Hungary and Romania.

Liberating the Ukraine

Russia does not want to ‘conquer’ the Ukraine, whatever ‘conquer’ means. By far the biggest country in the world has no need of more territory. Its hope is that the powerful anti-Nazi Ukrainian Resistance Movement can overthrow the CIA-imposed and financed Fascist regime in Kiev with the angry, disillusioned and betrayed peoples of the Ukraine. The hope is that with help Ukrainians will set up their own Free, Non-Nazi, Non-CIA, Ukrainian government there, which will unite the Ukrainian Ukraine into a sovereign country.

Its protection from Western/NATO imperialists will be guaranteed by the Russian Federation. The drama has always been that, greedy to control and exploit their natural resources and geopolitical significance, the West has never allowed the peoples of the Ukraine self-determination. Hence 40% of Ukrainian territory now belongs to the US Blackrock Corporation, sold off by corrupt and feudal Kiev politicians behind the backs of their peoples.

World War III or World War I, Part III?

This lack of self-determination, or lack of freedom, for Ukrainians has resulted in the largely MI6-planned terrorist attacks on Russian civilians, repeating the typically British terrorist attacks on German civilians and others in World War II, which were just as futile. This has resulted in the recent, NATO-planned Ukrainian incursion into the unpopulated and forested southern tip of the Kursk province of Russia. World War II German Panther and Tiger tanks, driven by SS Ukrainians, have been replaced by German Leopard tanks today.

Nothing has changed. Little wonder that some consider that there has only ever been one World War, but in three parts. Perhaps it is World War One, Part III that is now ending in the Ukraine? The US at last understands that it has lost its proxy war in the Ukraine; all it wants to do now is to hold on until the US elections, when they can forget it. Although this liberation is well-advanced, what can be said of the future liberation of the Western Peninsula half of Europe, which begins after the Polish border?

PART TWO: Self-Liberation or Self-Destruction for Western Europe?

The New Poverty of Western Europe

The centre of Western Europe’s economy and industry had for at least five generations been Germany, despite two Great Wars. No longer today. Having been forced by its US-run elite to cut itself off from cheap Russian gas, oil and other natural resources and accept the US destruction of the Nordstream pipeline, exactly as the US had publicly promised to do, its industry is closing down. The social effects in a country which is already full of refugees from the failed US-led wars in Muslim North Africa, West Asia and the Ukraine, are catastrophic. Germany, like the rest of Western Europe, is already no longer an economic rival to the US, for like most EU countries it threw away control of its own currency. Widespread poverty is now visible. The US has won, defeating not victorious Russia, but destroyed Western Europe.

The centre of Western Europe’s ideology and diplomacy had for generations been France, which even provided it with the French language for diplomacy. With its UN seat, it promoted an independent, pro-Gaullist European line, opposing, for example, the second US war against Iraq in 2003, for which Americans called the French ‘cheese-eating surrender monkeys’. No longer today. Since the corrupt President Sarkozy, who forced France to join the US-run NATO in 2009, France has been ruled by US-placed Presidents. Today, France is paralysed, as its Rothschild bank-clerk president, Macron, surrounded by other perverts, has refused to implement the results of the last French Parliamentary election, which he disastrously lost. The country is ungovernable and he is left as a detested dictator.

Europe Governed by the American Empire

The two other major EU countries, Italy and Spain, are silent, besieged and impoverished like all the other smaller ones from Ireland to Portugal, Romania to the Netherlands, Greece to Croatia, by masses of illegal immigrants, whom national governments are not allowed to reject, as the elites passed control from the nation state to the Globalists. The only Western European countries whose voices are heard are those who scurry to repeat and exaggerate US policies, being ‘more royalist than the king’, to try and show that their completely unimportant countries are somehow important. Indeed, the US has to restrain these fanatics.

They are delusional. In fact, the leaders of these countries are talking to themselves. The countries are the Northern European UK, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Poland and the three tiny Baltic statelets. The combined population of these latter three is only one tenth of France’s, which has a UN seat, and yet their voices are heeded far more than France’s. All these eight countries amount to no more than three or four of the fifty US States. However, all over Europe a revolt has begun against the oppressive US-run elites in the breaking down UK and among the European Union Commissars who are the new Pilates, the New Roman governors.

Western European Resistance

However, so far only 25% of Europeans of left or right are revolting against US oppression. The Globalist Uniparty, whatever it may call itself, Labour, Conservative, Social, Democratic, holds sway. Most Europeans have been brainwashed by the US-run and, in the case of the BBC, pedophile media into believing that the only alternative to being slaves of the American Empire is to be subject to the bogeymen of Russia and China. These, apparently, are ‘authoritarian’, ‘autocratic’ and ‘Fascist’.

And most citizens are so zombified that they actually believe such lies. With their ‘leaders’ in bondage to the US, the majority of Western Europeans are brainwashed by bread and circuses and left ignorant. Europe has made itself irrelevant on the world stage, ideologically, politically, diplomatically, economically, socially, culturally and, most significantly, spiritually and morally. It is a sad time in European history. Western Europe is dying – through its own choice.

Free Europe: De-Americanisation

Since the 1940s Western Europe, like Japan, has been occupied by US troops. As a result, over the last eighty years, Western Europe has been thoroughly americanised, colonised and vassalised, coca-cola-ised, macdonald-ised, netflix-ised, singing in American, and reclothed in the unisex American uniform of jeans, T-shirts and trainers. There is the attempt to create a highly centralised United States of Europe, at present called the EU and run by the US-trained elite of unelected Eurocommissars.

The US aim is to destroy the strength of industry in Western Europe through its illegal sanctions ‘against Russia’, in reality against Western Europe, destroying its economies, as it destroyed the Nordstream pipeline. The only hope for Western Europe is, probably nation by nation, to be abandoned by the US, just as Soviet-controlled Europe was abandoned by the USSR, like a row of dominos between 1989 and 1991. Western Europe will then have to de-americanise itself, by turning to the multipolar BRICS Alliance, ejecting its US imperialist masters

The Alliance

This Alliance, with a BRICS Security Council of Five and soon perhaps fifty associate members, is becoming a new and at last real and independent United Nations. Only in BRICS will nations be allowed to keep their own identities, but also to reintegrate Eurasia and benefit from Russian natural resources and Chinese investment. Let it be made clear, Russia will not liberate Western Europe; its interests stop at the Polish border, where East Slavdom ends. Russia has turned its back on aggressive and now unimportant Western Europe.

Western Europe must help itself, liberating itself. Russians are tired of going to liberate Paris and Berlin and seeing its soldiers die there. No more. However, de-americanisation is only the first of the two stages in the process of the self-liberation of Western Europe. Before the US intervened in Western Europe in 1917, having in 1916 ordered Great Britain to overthrow the Tsar’s Russia before its long-prepared entry into the War, it was already and again at war with itself. It has constantly made war with itself and with others. Only Western Europe can liberate itself from this.

Free Europe: De-Frankisation

After all, the USA is itself a Western European invention, resulting from the aggressive Western European invasion and occupation of the lands of the original Asian settlers there. Ther huge territories had belonged to them for thousands of years before Western Europeans settled them. The fundamental process, which must probably happen before Western European nations join BRICS, is ‘de-frankisation’, which I will explain below. This is indicated in the above quotation from Cobden, that ‘the British, the greatest blood-shedders of all, had been then involved in more wars than the rest of Europe put together’.

For this he blamed the ever-aggressive British aristocracy, which he declared had ‘converted the combativeness of the English race to its own ends’. Now the British aristocracy are of Viking origin, the Vikings, called in history Northmen or Normans, used as shock-troops for the spread of the imperialism of the Frankish ruling class of Continental Western Europe. It is this same Frankish and, in the British Isles and Ireland, its local Norman variant, that controls politics, the media and the arms trade throughout Western Europe. Until it is removed from power, which is possibly peacefully, its wars of aggression will continue.

Conclusion: Towards a Great England and a Great Europe

Those who are anti-imperialist in England are often accused of being ‘Little Englanders’, rather than ‘Great Britainists’. Our values are in fact neither Great British Imperialism, essentially Fascist, nor Little England bigotry, essentially Ignorance. Rather, because we are actual Christians, we believe in a ‘Great England’, an England made Great because it prizes above all Love and Truth, that is, Patriotism and Peace, and not the Anti-Patriotism of Globalism and its forever wars. And these words apply to each and every other people of Western Europe.

Prophetic Views: After World War Three

Introduction: Conditions for Peace in the Ukraine

The present head in Kiev, born in the eastern Ukrainian Krivij Rih in early 1978 and who still speaks Ukrainian badly, is a ‘co-religionist’ (= atheist) of one who was born almost exactly 100 years earlier, some 350 km to the north in Ukrainian Yanovka. He was Lev Davidovich Bronstein, also called Trotsky. Both were sent to foment war in the Russian Lands by the elite of the USA and Great Britain. Indeed, Bronstein died in North America, as his successor may also do.

In an interview with RTVI on 29 March, as also reported on the English-language Pravda website, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Galuzin, stated that the conflict in the Ukraine can be resolved, but that there are eight conditions (1). These are:

The West must stop supplying weapons to the Armed Forces of the Ukraine (the Kiev Army).
All armed forces must cease hostilities.
All foreign mercenaries must be withdrawn from the Ukraine.
Kiev must renounce any ambition to join NATO and the EU
Kiev must confirm its non-nuclear status
Kiev and foreign governments must recognise the territorial realities that the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson, not to mention the Crimea, are now part of the Russian Federation.
Kiev must restore its contractual and legal situation with the Russian Federation and the civilian infrastructure that it has destroyed since 2014 must be restored at the expense of the West, which was responsible for it.
Kiev and the West must lift all anti-Russian sanctions, withdraw lawsuits, cease legal proceedings against Russia, Russian persons and juridical entities.

So speak the politicians, but what do the men of God say?

The Third World War and the Prophecies of the Saints and Elders

For us it is clear that we are in World War Three and have been for some time. True, some consider that there has only ever been one World War, but in three parts. This generational World War Three, or, as some would have it, World War One, Part III, began in 2014 in Kiev. It broke out on the centenary of World War One (Part I), which effectively began in Sarajevo in 1914, and 75 years ago there was World War Two (Part II), which effectively began in Warsaw in 1939. All of these Wars began further and further to the east, as a result of the Western world’s aggressive expansion eastwards.

Since 2014 the world has been facing a financial crisis, whose roots go back to 2008 and in fact well before, as well as facing the genocide launched by the US-installed Kiev regime and then the global control attempt with the genetically engineered and then leaked covid-19 virus. World War One lasted over four years, World War Two nearly six. If World War Three ends in 2024 as many think, it will have lasted for ten years, the same length as both previous World Wars combined. The prophecies which foretold all these things are, like all prophecies, conditional. Negative prophecies come about because of lack of repentance, positive prophecies come about because of repentance. If there is only lukewarmness towards them, then the timings of the prophecies expand like elastic, which is why the times are always vague, as in the Book of Revelation, for whose fulfilment we have been waiting for nearly 2,000 years.

Many recent and canonised saints from the Russian Lands have prophesied today’s events. Among the saints are Seraphim of Sarov (1754-1833), John of Kronstadt (1829-1908), Seraphim of Vyritsa (1866-1949), Laurence of Chernigov (1868-1950), Kuksha of Odessa (1875-1964), John of Shanghai (1896-1966) and Amphilochy of Pochayev (1894-1971). Among the elders, as yet uncanonised, are Fr Tavrion Batozsky (1898-1978), Seraphim Tyapochkin (1894-1982), Christopher Nikolsky (1905-1996) Nikolai Guryanov (1909-2002), Zosima Sokur (1944-2002) and Iona Ignatenko (1925-2012).

All these speak of a Tsar who is coming, some say as the successor to President Putin. It is said that he will lead Russia after World War Three is over. It is said that he already lives in Russia and knows his destiny. Fr Seraphim Tyapochkin, whose blessing I received in Russia in 1976, said that any in Belarus and the Ukraine who oppose Russia are ‘servants of the devil’. He also said that the monks of the Kiev Caves Monastery, under threat of expulsion as I write, also have ‘a weighty word to say and will pray and obtain from God the union of the three brother-peoples’.

Schema-Archimandrite (a title denoting a senior monk) Christopher (Nikolsky) of Tula prophesied of the early 1990s after the collapse of the USSR and the freedom obtained by the Church that: ‘They will adorn the churches. But that will be unnecessary, only prayer is necessary….Open the churches so you can pray. That is all! There is no need to decorate them from top to bottom. That is just a Satanic temptation, we do not need that, we are Orthodox Christians, we need everything that is simpler. We must save our souls, and all that beauty is unnecessary….That luxury is unnecessary, we need prayer, we need salvation’ (2).

This Elder greatly venerated Tsar Nicholas II and his Family and in the 1980s foretold that they would be canonised: ‘The Tsar and his irreproachable servants suffered for us, washing Russia in their blood….The people will pay because we betrayed him’. ‘Gregory Rasputin was a great, great man of God. He will be canonised together with the Tsar and the Tsarevich. He was honourable and great before God; he was slandered’. ‘Russia will prosper, there will be a new Tsar, Russia will rise from the dead and free itself from this Satanic infection…but all depends on our repentance, collective repentance…without repentance a Tsar will not come…before then there will be wars…they want to trample underfoot the Orthodox faith and rub it out into dust…After 2008 time will fly, a year will be like a month, after 2008 be especially humble…Orthodoxy will be gathered together from the splinters and go on its way’.

As for Elder Tavrion, well-known to a close priest-friend, he said: ‘The Church (by this he meant the episcopate) consciously betrayed the Tsar. (This is a fact). It was on the side of the enemy – the crucifiers of Christ….The Tsar bought back Russia through his suffering and death. But Russia will for long reject him. Many bishops will be against his veneration, but after a time they will nevertheless glorify him, but they will not glorify him as he is glorified by God in heaven….but the time will come when the people, not many, will glorify him as is needed…then all will fall down in front of him and weep and ask for forgiveness…and then Russia will rise up from its chains’.

Conclusion

Years ago it was foretold that a worldwide war was coming, a universal revolt, sicknesses and famine, but that the Russian Lands will again be led by a still unknown Tsar and he is already carrying his Cross of service. Elder Nicholas (Guryanov), the saint of the Pskov Lake, called himself the Tsar’s priest, as do many others among us and we indeed have our Tsar’s passports ready. We are soldiers of the future Tsar, still implementing the martyred Tsar’s wishes for the spread of Orthodoxy, interrupted by the judases in 1917. And, as we know, St Seraphim of Sarov prophesied the same 200 years ago.

Even though over a century ago apostate Russians betrayed their Tsar, a betrayal that began at the very top, among the Romanov Family, aristocrats, most bishops of the Church, generals, lawyers, journalists and the professional classes, Russia still has not repented. On the Tsar’s feast day on 4/17 July, most churches are largely empty, icons are decorative but few venerate them. Russia is still asleep – hence this dread conflict in the Ukraine now. The Lord will keep us until the providential day when he appears and lays low our enemies, the enemies of the Church.

Seventy-Five Years after the Unfinished European War 1945-2020

The Great Western European War, which spread to its neighbours in Eastern Europe and Russia and to its then colonies around the world and to its former colony in the USA, was called the First and the Second World Wars. In the part of that War called the Second World War there began at the same time as the original Western European struggle an Anglo-German war in North Africa for access to Middle East oil. Then there began a German war for control of the natural resources of the Soviet Union, which ended with the destruction of the German aggressor, but not with the downfall of Soviet atheism. And in the Pacific there began a war for control of the natural resources of the countries of the Pacific rim, which after Japanese massacres in China developed into a US war against Japan.

Although this Western European War began in 1914, it did not in fact end in 1945. True, it was paused in 1945, just as in 1918, but it continues because of the injustices that it caused. For just as the injustices after 1918 inevitably resulted in the War that began at the end of the 1930s, as was foretold at the ‘Peace Talks’ in 1919, so the injustices after 1945 have inevitably led to continuing conflicts until the present day. Thus, there followed immediately after 1945 the so-called Cold War, a series of bloody wars around the globe, which after 1989 changed into wars in the Middle East, the Balkans and the Ukraine. Today, this is largely a fight for survival against starvation in the ravaged countries of Eastern Europe, in what was once called the Soviet Union, in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Injustices will be righted, but we fear that much more bloodshed will follow before that day can come.

Indeed, the real Victory Day did not come 75 years ago, with its massacred and mutilated, its blind and its crippled, its millions of lives blighted and enslaved, its orphans and its widows. The real Victory Day will come only with the return of Christ at the end of this unjust world.

75 Years Since D-Day

I well remember how on the 22nd anniversary of D-Day, 6/6/66, my mother told me that on that day in 1944 she saw the skies of southern England turn black with aeroplanes. This was D-Day, the greatest naval operation and invasion, 6,000 vessels and 9,000 aircraft, of all time. Tens of thousands of young men were to die in the following three months, together with 20,000 French civilians, tragically killed, mainly by notoriously indiscriminate Allied bombing.

This Allied invasion did liberate Western Europe from the Nazis, a liberation which would have happened anyway, but by the Red Army. Instead of fighting its way from Stalingrad only to Berlin, it would instead inevitably have fought its way from Stalingrad to the shores of Normandy, no doubt by the early summer of 1945 after its conquest of Berlin in early May 1945. Thus, with D-Day, instead of being occupied by the red star of the Soviet Union (SU), Western Europe was occupied by the white star of the United States (US). The speed of Allied success after D-Day was greatly helped by the hugely successful Soviet Operation Bagration which began, as had been agreed in Teheran, on 22 June and greatly weakened Nazi resistance in Normandy. It can be said that the real political aim of D-Day for the US was, after having achieved its priority of domination of the Pacific, its desire to prevent the occupation of Western Europe by the victorious Soviet Union, which is why that invasion took place so late in the war.

Today, as Great Britain prepares to leave Western Europe through Brexit, pragmatically and warmly backed by the half-Scottish President Trump who has just visited London, we prepare not for an Anglo-American invasion of Western Europe, but for an Anglo-American retreat from Western Europe. Three generations have reversed the situation of 1944, but the old relationship has been renewed. What is to come is not sure, but the hand of history is upon us.
